Recent visit

Very pleasant site with good facilities. Twice caught the local bus into Crewkerne (bus stop just down the road from the site entrance). Lunch at Oscars Wine bar - next to the town hall - dog friendly, and very human friendly! Best scallops we've had for a long time!

Tranquility

Arriving from The Cricket direction was a little awkward to turn into site but one of the workers came out and helped us, had we come from the Chard direction it would have been much easier. The site itself was very tranquil and pleasant. The first evening the owner came to greet us. He was very friendly and courteous. There were some very friendly dogs living there and they were all well behaved. Toilet and shower block was very clean. Will definitely be returning

Le Manoir

Excellent site. Well kept with a conscientious and thoughtful owner. Has the feel of a French Manoir about it.(work in progress) There are a couple of gates to negotiate but these help contain the family dogs and and stray horse that may be around. Good shower and wc facility. Plots are well spaced and level. There is a small landscaped dog walking area which is pleasant, even for the dogless. Pretty rural but worth a visit.

Very helpful owner.

We had a lovely week here in July. The owner couldn't of been more helpful. It had a nice clean shower block which was very useful. It is central for lots of different places to visit. The information sent via e-mail prior to our visit was excellent and very helpful. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Definitely worth a visit

This is one of the best maintained CLs we have visited and surprisingly quiet for this time of year. The toilet/shower room is large, warm and clean. Maybe another wc would be useful when site is full. The site is easy to find and access (when you enter the drive from the road, keep going through 2 gates - the site is hidden behind the buildings). Level hard-standing pitches with plenty of green space around. Peaceful rural site. We found lots of nearby walks - the "Drift" path (bottom of village just past the big campsite) can be used to reach Chard Reservoir (about 2.5 miles) - a lovely nature reserve. Plenty of interesting National Trust properties - our favourite is Berrington Court. This CL is a little gem - will be back again next year we hope. Dolman (Plymouth)

Lovely Site!

Our first time on a CL, we were most impressed, Mr Denning has worked extremely hard in maintaining this lovely site, very quiet and friendly, all the people we met staying, loved it there and we will all be going back again. David & Margaret Cox, Salisbury, Wiltshire.

Lovely site

Although we only stayed for one night - as a stop-off to our main holiday - we were delighted with the facilities here. The owner was extremely helpful - we were very late arriving and he sent a text detailing what to look out for on our way in - which was very useful. Would happily go back to this CL again.

A brilliant site

Booked using a mobile phone with no problems. A great welcome by the owner to a clean and quiet site. Good bathroom facilities and access to water and electricity. All pitches are hard standing and have electricity, and even with our 27 foot outfit could be accessed easily. We only required to stay 2 nights but would certainly stay again if in that area. Very pleasant. Thank you!

Great site let down a little.

Wonderful surroundings, lovely site and new shower room and toilet but unfortunately what could have been an excellent stay was let down by dog dirt both on our pitch and extensively across the entrance drive from what we believe to be the owner's pets.
