A very pleasant surprise

We arrived to glorious weather that stayed with us the whole weekend. The Family welcomed us like old friends and nothing to much trouble. The information sheet given was excellent giving all the information you would need, either as a caravaner or motor homer. Really like the security entrance & exit, so easy & convenient. We where lucky to be able to go on the grass pitch - what a size, with water, waste & electrics all on the pitch it was perfect. The site is immaculate even down to hand cleanser at the Elsan point! We have 2 chocolate labradors & the walks from the site was perfect, over to Croxteth Hall and surrounding countryside. The downfall if any was the noise from the motorway adjacent' especially at peek times, but all things considered this is a little (Well not so little) Gem. Living only 12 miles away, would we go back, you bet.

Really good site

OK so the motorway is next to the site but everything else is brilliant. From the advice pre arrival to the site layout and facilities this site is an example to others. We used this CL to visit relatives in Liverpool and for us this site is a great find. We’ll be back.

Excellent site

Well laid out site with water, power and grey water disposal for each pitch. (Even spare pipework to reach the drain available near the toilet disposal point) Friendly owners, remote gate controls for added security & text details of which pitch to use before we arrived was also helpful. All CLs should be aiming for this standard. Obviously the site was set up by an experienced caravaner. Access into Liverpool by bus or train was easy.

A friendly surprise.....

There's no denying the proximity to the M57 but the warm welcome, proximity to Liverpool and facilities more than made up for this! In fact the low hum soon drifted to the background and access to local walks, Liverpool, Formby etc soon overcame the traffic noise! Stella and John are excellent hosts and the site imo provided excellent value for money! I was working locally but my personal highlights were equipment to fit grey water direct to waste drain, easy recycling that was regularly emptied, clean well kept site, security and above all the friendliest and most helpful of hosts! This young couple deserve every bit of the tiny £11 a night! Will definitely be back! Thanks guys!!

A hidden gem

A level and well maintained site. Each hard standing has its own water supply and hook up point preventing trailing cables. There is a fabulous grassed area opposite which would be great for youngsters to play on, well away from units but visible. The owner gave us information prior to arrival making navigation easy. An information sheet was provided with all the local eateries, shops and takeaways listed. These touches are so helpful. A 15 minute walk to the bus directly into Liverpool where it is clear why it is a city of culture. So much to do either free or minimal charge. Open all year so we will definitely be back.
