Peace and Relaxation

Just returned from a too shorter stay at this CL on arrival entrance is a bit daunting if you have a big unit mainly due to the narrow road.expected in the Dales though. The site is on a slope but the owner does supply leveling blocks and you don't need a ladder to get out of the van. There are grass or hard standings so make your choice, all have water supply and some have drainage. The single toilet has a (vacant engaged) lock on the door so no blushes and is very modern.Val the owner is very welcoming it`s just a pity she cant control the weather.Lovely Friday and Sunday the two short days then Saturday raining!!!.Was going to walk to Brimham Rocks but decided to ride into Ripon (park at the Cathedral car park rather than the City one cheaper and longer.

Beautiful Place To Stay

We spent 7 nights over Easter at this lovely CL. We were made very welcome on a wet and windy day and shown to our hard standing pitch with our own tap and grid - very useful given the weather!!! The weather then improved to reveal the amazing view . A very quiet and peaceful place. Good for dogs too! We will return.

Great site

Just returned from a 7 day stay at this peaceful & tranquil site. stunning views, good  walking area. Very well maintained & serviced site, with helpful owners. Summerbridge village is only 2 miles away with a great butchers, general store & a pub, good food & beer. will return.

Perfection!

What more can one ask for? Even the few notices were prefaced with "Welcome"  and gave useful information rather than a list of dos and donts. The site is immaculate and the owners friendly and helpful.

Beautiful CL

We had a couple of mid-week days break on two very hot days in July. The site was immaculate. Although full each unit was spread about with plenty of room. We were pitched on one of the hard standing pitches in the top part of the site. What fantastic views and so peaceful. Very good off lead walks for the dogs and walking distance to Brinham Rocks. Well worth a visit. Thanks for a lovely peaceful break on your top rate CL.

Wow, a wonderful site which has it all!

On arrival, we immediately received a warm welcome by the owners. There is a mixture of hard standing and grassed pitches, all with individual water taps, which have been thoughtfully positioned. The site is slightly sloping but planks of wood are readily available if required.  We opted for a hardstanding pitch in the top section which we found was perfect having a hedge in front, below spectacular views, and a field full of buttercups to the side.  The owner visited us to check we had set up ok and happy with the position as we were welcome to place the caravan any way we wished.  There are lovely touches around the site; wooden boxed planters, newly planted trees, immaculate toilet, reading books and tourist information leaflets available, and the owners' mobile contact numbers just incase you are unable to locate them.  There is a walk, down hill, to the nearby village (approximately 2 miles) which has a Post Office, lovely butchers, tea rooms (which we didn't have the chance to try) and a village shop which had a good variety of essentials.  On departure, we normally leave a site at 9 am, thinking why delay the inevitable in returning home but on this occasion we left as late as possible as we truly did not want to leave.  We just found the site had a calming, tranquil, heavenly feel and we were made so welcome.  We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at this lovingly maintained adult only site. The owners are extremely friendly, down to earth and nothing was too much trouble. Yes, of course, we will definitely be returning so we now need to look at the calendar before it gets fully booked!

Lovely 5 Night Break

Just spent 6 days at Firtree and it was lovely. The site is immaculate with the added bonus of individual water supply to each pitch. The site is well tended and very pretty with some outstanding views. A nice welcome extra is a toilet that is also spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. We would have no hesitation in recommending this site and will certainly return.

Made to feel unwelcome by owner as I arrived

On arrival I found the owner most unpleasant, the site is very sloping and depending on your pitch I found the door was very high which can make access difficult as the owner would only allow caravans in backwards you cannot change direction of your caravan to make access easier by having your door facing up the slope. If you plan to leave the site and turn left you will find the exit is very tight. I like the area but there is much better CL’s in the area in my opinion. I will never return to this CL. I was actually tempted to leave before unhitching due to the owners attitude.

One of the best 5 van sites we have been to.

Great site, great location. Water, drain and electric all close by. This is one of the best 5 van sites that we have ever been to, great views and quite near to Harrogate. Loads of space between vans on a gentle slope. I would definitely recommend this site to anybody. Follow the club directions, if you are following a Tom Tom through Summerbridge it will take you up a 1:4 narrow hill.

An Absolute Gem!

This is the first CL site we have ever visited and a gift at just £12 per night! We received a warm and friendly welcome from Mrs Bradley. Mr Bradley was a pleasant chap who is happy to have a chat. The whole site is immaculately presented, as is the toilet. The views are tremendous and over a weekend, we saw only 6 vehicles pass the site. Stunning countryside surrounds the site and there are amazing views on the walk into Summer Bridge, however, this is a bit of a trek uphill and down dale! Having the water tap on each pitch is like having your own service pitch; very handy! The approach to the site via Stripe Lane is best avoided. It is down to a single-track road, edged with dry stone walls for a good 400 yards. My advice to caravanners would be to head for Brimham Rocks, it's no further out of your way and better access. No doubt about it, we will be back!
