A perfect spot

Our recent stay here was fantastic. When we arrived, we were welcomed onto the site, I had barely get out of the car before the owner had appeared and opened the gate for us. We were informed of where all the hook up points were and then left free to decide where to pitch, he explained the location of all of the facilities and we had a nice conversation of his future plans for the site which sound very impressive. When his wife returned, she also came across to welcome us. The site has plenty of space so you are not squashed in between everybody else and you are free to pitch in whichever way suits you, there are some lovely views from the site. There is a footpath which is easily accessible from the site which leads to the village and a small shop which is convenient to walk the dog along. the site feels secure with a locked gate to get in and out, just the same as a main club site. the toilet is very quaint and full of character, a real delight, hopefully if they develop a toilet/shower facility as planned, they are able to keep this one as well! The nearby pub, The Anchor, does good food, although they did forget vegetables with my wife's meal, when this was queried, the message came back from the kitchen that there were no vegetables with that meal, although when we complained when we paid the bill, we found out there should have been. Chichester Golf Course has a very impressive Adventure Golf which is suitable for all ages - if you go a second time in a day, it's half price! On our second trip round, we found Damon Hill was behind us having a game with his son. Overall, a wonderful site, very well located and run by very friendly and helpful people. We look forward to a return visit in the future.

Bank Holiday Bliss

This is the first CL we have used and not only is it a very tranquil location, it is only 10 minutes from our home, so no Bank Holiday misery on the roads! We are currently spending an extremely relaxing break at Fieldgate, walking our dog through the corn fields in the sunshine. Excellent location, plenty of space and excellent 4G reception for those who want Internet connection! Whilst the owners have only been here since October, the site has improved dramatically and can only improve with the work being done here. A real gem on the Sussex Coast!

Quite Escape

This CL site is a little gem! We have just spent two nights here and just cannot believe that we managed to get in at such short notice in August. The site is located in a quite village set amongst a farming community. It is laid to grass and is very flat. All the pitches have electric hook ups and there is a WC on the site together with the usual waste disposal for grey and chemical waste. Although a grass pitch the site seems to drain really well as we had a few downpours! The welcome and ongoing management of the site is superb. Although the site was only purchased late last year what the owners have done with the place in a short time is amazing. The CL is situated ideally to base oneself for the many sights villages and towns nearby. The Anchor Pub within a 5 minute walk has good food and real ales. We wish the owners all the best for their many plans for the site. We will definitely be back, just hope they always have room for us!! Thank you!
