Looking a little tired.

This site has won awards but I think its star has dimmed a bit since those days; maybe the owner's enthusiasm is not what it was. The site layout, with hardstanding for all users, is good. The views are pleasant rather than stunning and it is in a good position for exploring the wonderful coastline nearby or visiting Edinburgh perhaps. On the downside, the water pressure is the lowest I've experienced (a notice on the tap says that Scottish Water is looking into it - without any urgency as reviewers have been mentioning the problem since 2018 at least). The information hut has no information, the flower displays at the entrance died long ago and, as often stated by other members, the noise from the road is unsettling if you are looking for peace and quiet. The road runs only two or three feet from the back of the site and while not particularly busy it seems to encourage speed and therefore noise from early in the morning. I shudder to think what could happen if a vehicle left the road and crashed through the hedge! The owners have a private site further from the road and I think I would be willing to pay the extra nightly charge for a better night's sleep.
