Well kept c.l.we visited in august 2012 shame about the noisy rat- run road! Spoils a lovely site in my opinion. Incidentally thanks to the Brand family for the Xmas card.

Great place

We have visited East Fortune several times now. Their is always a warm welcome and the site is extremely well looked after. It is a good place to base yourself for exploring the area being close to rail links for Edinburgh. A wonderfdul Sunday market for good quality food supplies, especially the pie and meat stall just by the entrance, with family size steak pies at great multi buy prices. We always try to arrive on the Saturday so we can go and get supplies on the Sunday morning, and have a wander around the car boot area as well. The Scottish museum of flight is very worth a visit with some great nostalgia for the ex fliers amongst us, and the Saltire history site is quite close by if you want to learn more about the origins of the great flag of Scotland. If you want to eat out, there is a very good sit in fish/haggis/black pudding etc> and chip restraunt in Dunbar, and The Rocks hotel serves a great Sunday lunch or evening meal. Just have a word with Jane or Grant for directions.

Best Site in all the Network and that includes Club Sites

Can never get enough of this site. Grant, Jane and family are very friendly, polite, considerate and set the standard that ALL CC SITES AND WARDENS SHOULD ASPIRE TO. The site is maintained to a very high standard, is off the beaten track awarding relative peace and quiet yet is only 4 miles from the lovely town of North Berwick. Every visit leads us to another jewel around this area.

Excellent CL in East Lothian

One of the best kept CL's that we have been at. The grass is always cut very regularly, the owners are so friendly and they come down to your van for payment. The hook ups are all 16 amp, the gray water point is well marked, and the elsan point is very good. They have left walks right round 2 of their fields that you can use with your dog/s which is fantastic for dog owners. The site is surrounded by stock fencing and a heavy wooden gate, so children and dogs can safely run free within the CL. From the pitches there is a lovely view across the fields to the Berwick Law. My only negative is that the CL is right beside the road, which can be a little noisy sometimes during the day, but is fine and quiet during the night. I would highly recommend this site to anyone.

Excellent CL Site

An excellent well managed site . Impressive views towards North Berwick and the Firth of Forth. Immaculate grass site - they even collect the grass cuttings. Level but firm, well drained pitches. Gravelled site access. Clean, well maintained facilities. Information shed offers barbecue loan and free-range eggs fresh daily from the farm. Worthy winner for the Best CL Site competition.
