Immaculate!

Stunning site, maintained to a very high standard - everything from signage to grass. Nice views across farmland and well mown walks around owners fields for the dog. Friendly helpful owners, and lots to see and do in surrounding area. We hope to return soon.

A Gem of a Site

We stayed here for almost two weeks,a great example of how a CL should be.Jane the owner very helpful.Yes there is some road noise at commuting time but this does not distract the fact that the site has great views and walks around the fields .The fact that the site was continually full shows its popularity.Ideal for exploring the beaches and countryside.Yes we will be back if we can get in.

Open Golf

We stayed on this CL for the week of the Open Golf at Muirfield from 14th-21st July. It is a very well kept site with the grass neatly cut and all round the fence posts strimmered. Very tidy. The entrance is welcoming with lots of information in the hut and very tasty fresh eggs reasonably priced. We were fortunate to be there when the weather was good and the sunsets each evening were amazing. The views from the caravan window were spectacular. There is a very good defined path round the site and surrounding fields which is lovely for an evening walk. A little road noise but nice to see the trains going by. Will definitely be back as we would have liked to explore the surrounding area. Thank you Jane & Grant for making it a great week for us. Hope to see you in the future.

Quality Maintained

Again a brilliant place to chill out. OK a little noise from the road ON OCCASSION but you soon learn to ignore, barking dogs not when we were there but it is a farm afterall. A little noise is a small cost to pay for the friendliness of all the management and the beautiful scenery arround East Lothian. Top site for 2013 will be back

Lovely site

Lovely site but sooo noisy, barking farm dogs and traffic which starts at about 7am and goes on and on all day, looks as though the site backs on to a wood actualy it is a very busy road.

One of our favourites.

A great CL only spoilt by the noise of cars & lorries roaring past the site. All the best points of the CL have been covered in the other reviews apart from it's proximity to some fabulous beaches at Aberley, Yellowcraig and Dunbar. There is a small non-facility commercial site on the farm which has a seperate access and does not infringe on the Cl. For those interested in historic sites Tantalon, Dirleton and Hailes Castle and Lennoxlove House are close by. A grand site for those wishing to explore the East Lothians.

A wonderful CL

A lovely site but backs on to a noisy (at times) road which some vehicles use as a race track! My children loved watching the trains go past along the railway. Loved the little hut with local information, BBQ, books, DVDs etc. Owner very friendly. Would recommend a visit to the Flight Museum which was a brilliant day out, worth it to walk on Concorde! Drem railway station 2 miles away for a convenient way into Edinburgh £13 return for family of 4, however the car park was full on the weekday with commuters. My children loved visiting the animals on the farm.

Well Kept and Friendly CL

This was a very nice discovery for us. The site is very nicely presented, flat, mown grass, and a little shed full of local information and help. We love this area, and it provided a good base for North Berwick, Edinburgh and the lovely surrounding countryside. There is a bit of traffic noise at peak times from adjacent road, and it is close to the main line railway, but we still found it on the whole peaceful. The views are superb. The owners are a pleasure to talk to, and made us very welcome. We even got a phone call to report a problem with our van while we were out, and found a temp repair done to prevent more damage on our return, so 10 out of 10 for wonderful customer service. CL had all we required, EHU, water and waste, excellent on site dog walking. Can highly recommend this site.
