As CL's go this is a little Gem and the pictures don't do it justice.
Access is easy with the directions from the pub........DO NOT USE YOUR SATNAV....
Although some of the access road is unmade if you take it easy it is fine.
The site is set on a very gently sloping meadow with 5 very generous grass pitches, to your front you have a large field with Horses to your rear is a bridle way ideal for dog walking.
Ron, the owner, is quite simply wonderful and extremely helpful.
Each pitch has its own 16a supply, there is a single drinking water tap in the middle of the site convenient for all 5 pitches with the chemical waste area at the far end of the site.
I have stayed at 2 other sites in the area and on this site twice, I will be back !!!!!!!!!
During my stay i was visited daily by a pair of row dear and several pheasants, so plenty of local wildlife.
Lovely, quiet site.
Lovely, quiet CL, very easy access and friendly owner Ron. Situated in a great part of the country with easy access to Oxford and other local towns and villages. Good pubs, especially the local community run Seven Stars.
Highly recommended CL.
Lovely CL
This is a great CL!
It's on a flat, well looked after, grassed site with power. It looks out over peaceful farm land - we saw a number of red kites and a green woodpecker from the site.
The village of Marsh Baldon is very pretty; easy walk to the Seven Stars pub from the site, past the exceptionally large village green.
It's close to the city of Oxford - we used the Redbridge park and ride which is 5-10 mins away.
A lovely place to stay
Seven Stars
Nice spacious site. The setting is lovely. It's a real hideaway and I would expect it to be very quiet for most of the year. It's perfect for dog owners as there are endless flat walks from the site. The enormous village green is fabulous.
Do call at the Seven Stars for the map as suggested (lots of space to park there whilst you go in). Finding the site would be tricky without a map - a breeze with.

Lovely peaceful place to stay
Easy to find, especially with the map from the Seven Stars. Very quiet and tucked away, but no hairy single track roads. Great walking from the site, so perfect for the dog, and two good pubs within walking distance, so perfect for us. Highly recommended

Wonderful
stayed here last weekend what a beautiful site nice to look out of the window and see horses red kites and woodpeckers a veritable wildlife haven close to Oxford Henley on Thames and Marlow Owner Ron visited everyday nice pleasant man always willing to talk A short walk will take you to the Seven Stars public house where you can get good food and drink will have no hesitation in returning in the future
A little piece of heaven
What a beautiful cl. It is set in gorgeous countryside looking out over fields. The cl is level with pitches set against the hedge so you have an open view. I was lucky to see muntjac deer, kites, woodpeckers and everyday the horses are gently strolling nearby. I was visiting my son in Oxford and this site is perfect for that. A 20 minute walk takes you to Nuneham Courtenay where you can catch the bus into the city. There are walks straight from the site, it's lovely for dogs. The owner Ron is a lovely helpful host. I will definitely be back. Don't forget to pick up the directions from the pub that way you will find it easily and have no access problems.
Perfect retreat location.
We found this site after looking for a last stop off before heading home after a 1700 mile tour of the Scottish highlands. We found it so relaxing, that we decided to stay an extra night before heading home.
We shall definitely visit again as a base for visiting Oxford, and beautiful surrounding areas.
The site is a spacious flat grassed area, away from main roads, with hook ups for each pitch, and a chemical disposal point. A short walk to local pub across a delightful Common, which all makes it a perfect location.
Perfect site
Highly rated site. I don’t know how some reviews can say it’s narrow and caravans too close to each other? Do those reviewers normally pitch alone on football pitches? There’s plenty enough space. Easy to get to if you follow the directions given by going to the pub first using a sat nav and then using the map they give you. Tranquil. Wildlife. Pub nearby. Friendly helpful owner. What more could you want? There’s no ablution facilities so recommended for people with that on board - which these days is most everyone anyway.
I will definitely go again.
Charming Site
Durham Leys Farm is located in the quite charming village of Marsh Baldon, on the other side of the green. It is quite easy to get to. Once you come off the main road there is a single track road with plenty of passing points. Go to the Seven Stars Pub and they give you detailed directions.
Basically it is a sectioned off part of the horse field. There are no showers or toilets so I think £15 per night is a bit steep. Waste dump and fresh water supply are perfectly adequate. The views are very good, the location is dead quiet. It might get a bit cosy with 5 caravans, but nevertheless enough room. The pitching area is flat and level.
Never saw the owner, just put the money in the box as requested. Not a problem. The location is very good to visit Oxford. The park and ride is fairly close. I would strongly recommend that it is used as Oxford looked a nightmare for traffic and parking.
The local pub, Seven Stars is very friendly and serves excellent food and Is easily walkable, make sure that you take a torch as you can lose your bearings on the way back as there is no lighting.
All in all a good site that is well worth a few days to visit Oxford and a couple of nights out in the local pub.
