Ease of arrival/welcome

An unpleasant experience

Sadly, the description "quiet" in the handbook does not apply to this site. It is situated slap bang next to a derestricted section of main road used as a racetrack late into the evening by all the local youth. The nearest village is less than half a mile away and, although blessed with a couple of shops, is a very depressing place. The immediate surroundings are prone to heavy mist which also serves to hide the nearby wind turbines. On the plus side, the site is close to attractions like Tintagel, Port Isaac, Boscastle and Morwhellan Quay. The owner thinks nothing of overbooking the site. Do not be surprised to find more than 5 caravans pitched up when you arrive. You are also expected to pay for your full proposed stay upon arrival, with no refund should you decide to leave early. All in all - avoid!
