Excellent CL. Peaceful and welcoming.

We stayed for a night in May 2022 and loved this CL. Very friendly welcome, and 5 generous pitches, each with a hardstanding and grassy area alongside with a table and chairs. Lovely rural setting, and very peaceful apart from the birdsong. 2 simple loos bit kept spotlessly clean, and each pitch has ehu and water. Great value for £16. We would definitely stay again.

Definitely not 5 star

Just spent a few nights here and are disappointed. Access to the gated site is tight and the water fountain at the entrance doesn’t help. Friendly welcome and shown to the pitches that were available and pointed out to the toilet, info room and waste bins. Part serviced hard standing pitches are in need of de grassing as they are nearly grass pitches with a bit of gravel and sloping. The toilets look clean and new but are in a ramshackle shed, the dustbins need replacing as the handles are missing. Can’t make out what it is but all day long into the evening it sounds like a digger is scraping rocks and can be intermittently heard clearly. The whole site is in need of a good tidy, some weed killer and updating. The photographs for the site must have been taken some years ago when things were better. We won’t be returning.

One of the best CL sites Visited 12-15 August 2021

First time we have used this site with our motorhome but will not be the last, the welcome you get from Nic & Rob is so genuinely friendly it puts you at ease straight away. Nothing was too much trouble. The site is lovely and well set out with each pitch having your own water tap and of course EHU. Flat hard standing pitches makes setting up easy with a grassed area as well complete with a table and 4 chairs which is a lovely touch. Good views of the country side from the site big field opposite the pitches with two horses present who are partial to the odd carrot or apple. You can tell that Nic & Rob has put a lot of work and effort into this site and are quite rightly proud of the site. Neat tidy well set out with the use of two WC's for exclusive use of the site users, there were kept spotlessly clean. Ideal for visiting the local and not so local attractions as only a few minutes from the M4 not that you would know by any noise which was not apparent at all. Thanks to Nic & Rob for a great site and lovely visit to this site.

Perfect getaway beautiful site 5/6/21

We came down from Saturday to Monday in our Motorhome we found the site easy to get to the owners were very helpful thank you! We brought our 4 dogs all rescue dogs the campsite wasn’t over packed it was very quiet which suited our dogs not too much going on just beautiful countryside. The toilet washroom was spotlessly clean well done! You have electric hook up water all the amenities you’ll need for a lovely break. I would definitely recommend especially if you have dogs there’s a lovely dog walking paddock. Well done to the owners as they have a little treasure of a place! Absolutely loved it there definitely will book again highly recommend to all.

Wonderful CL site

We’ve just spent 5 nights at Dryslwyn pretty much rained day and night except one day but we had a lovely time never the less, it’s so peaceful and relaxing. Good access very spacious pitches plenty of room for an awning and car, because they are tiered ours was on the end which was nice and private.Toilet and information room on site, recycling, grey and black waste and poo bin. We had electricity and water, there is also a TV ariel but we didn’t need it, plus a table and chairs. Our nearest neighbours for most of the week were 2 horses in the field in front of us plus the beautiful bird song, you can hear the hum of traffic from M4 but not intrusive. Lovely warm welcome, our water post broke and was mended very quickly plus shingle put down as was getting a little muddy. Lovely walk through the gate to the left, horses roaming free on the common, too muddy this time to explore but will definitely come back another time, beware of adders in the summer though like everywhere else keep dogs on leads. Went to McArthur Glen indoor outlet shopping centre (you can take your dog in) and Ogmore which was very wet and windy but fabulous on a nice day, Pencoed has a Tesco and Co op both well stocked, several takeaways we didn’t try any on this occasion. This is only the 2nd CL site we have stayed on but after this stay they will be the thing of the future, looking out on a field instead of being surrounded by caravans on the big sites we think is what made it such a good stay because the weather was awful. Thank you Nic and Rob for sharing you’re little bit of heaven with us, we look forward to returning later in the year sometime.

Lovely pitch in glorious countryside

We needed a site in December on the way to visit family in Resolven. Finding an all year site with hard standing was tricky, but luck was with us and we found this gem. The pitches are very spacious, with a patio table and chairs which is a lovely touch. And only 15 minutes from McArthur Glen Retail Park! We arrived at 4pm and with our tight schedule we won’t be able to get out walking, but in the failing light we could see we were surrounded by glorious countryside. Our lovely host also lent us an electric cable as we had forgotten ours! Plan to return in better weather and have a good explore.

Fantastic site

We were impressed with the reviews so we booked in for a couple of nights at the end of October. We made the booking by telephone but didn’t meet the owners as they were away on holiday. However, Nicola could not have been more helpful or friendly and the arrangements were clearly explained. The site is in a perfect location for us as we have friends and family in South Wales. Although only a few minutes from the M4 it feels like you’re in the middle of the countryside- it was secluded and peaceful. Facilities included a water tap next to the pitch, an electric light, table and chairs, tv aerial connection, and a spotless toilet for the use of guests. Great value and one of the best CL sites we’ve ever visited. We shall definitely return.

Friendly, above average site.

A lovely site with a warm welcome. Well above the average in my experience, especially for the price. Very clean. Each pitch feels secluded. Easy access from M4 & handy for anywhere in Glamorgan area. Slight noise from M4 but nothing to complain about. Excellent. Thanks.

Lovely site

We have just returned from Wales and really enjoyed our stay on this CL Nicola was very welcoming and attentive throughout our stay and the site is very well kept. The toilets are very clean and well provisioned. The site seemed more spacious than the 0.5ac which it says it is in the directory.
