Not really suitable for dogs.

Dogs are only allowed on site if on lead. Common full of grazing sheep and horses. Footpaths overgrown and impassable. Not as quiet and peaceful as advertised, noise continually from rear of site. Weather did not help our enjoyment as it rained very heavy for 3 days. No internet or phone signals. Sorry for this review, Lisa did try o help get internet but none. Nicely laid out site, just a shame there was nowhere without driving, to give our dogs the holiday we hoped for. The site could do with a notice more easily seen. At present it is attached to the house, could be seen at entrance drive better.

Calm and peaceful site

What a lovely site! We received a very warm welcome and the pitches were excellent and well screened with nice views over the field with horses. Such a comfortable place - shame it was only for one night. Will definitely be back - superb!!

A Warm Welcome

We received a very warm and friendly welcome on arrival by both the owner and her dog. The site is very well maintained, with electric hook up, water and light to the pitches. A very clean toilet and a laundry room are also part of this peaceful site. Site is ideal for motor homes with hard standing and waste water dump facilities. Unable to rate the access to local places of interest as we only stayed one night.

Ideal Location

My wife and I recently stayed at this CL as it is central to visiting our grandchildren in the area. Having lived in the nearby village of Pencoed for nearly 14 years I never knew this little gem existed. It is without doubt the most peaceful and relaxing site we've ever been to. Huge secluded pitches with your own water/electricity supply and a generous grassed area.  The owners were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble for them, we were made to feel very welcome upon arrival after our long journey. The site is ideally located, just a short distance from the M4, with easy access to the site itself. Plenty of local interest and attractions for all ages.  We will certainly be back.

peaceful retreat

Just returned from a lovely peaceful 1st weekend away of the year. Not far from home but complete change. great hard standings with no risk of getting stuck this early in the season. Our own tap, bin and electricity what more could a girl want?

A CL WITH SO MUCH MORE

A lovely peaceful site with the facilities you would pay 20 a night for!! Each pitch has its own private terrace with light, water tap bin with lid and set of patio furniture. Theres even a tv aerial for lower terraces to plug in too. A lovely view of the field with 2 horses, laundry room and spotless toilet. Topped with a warm welcome and an unbelievable price certainly in my top 5 of CLs, very very well planned site. Well done to the owners. Twin axle vans easy access, easy route off motorway.

Fabulous

This CL is a gem. Arrived to an extremely warm and friendly welcome. Location is superb to explore the many wonders of the South Wales coast line. Easy access to the motorway, yet set in a truly rural location. Will definitely return to this site.

Peaceful and well located

We arrived after dark, in heavy rain and found our pitch easily, as the access is excellent.  We chose this site for its convenience to the M4, yet it feels quite remote given the peace and the attractive setting.  We used it just for a 1-night stop while exploring the coast south of Bridgend but would use it for longer without hesitation.  The owners were friendly and helpful and we will happily return.  Our first experience of a CL having just joined the Club and it would be good to think they are all of a similar standard.

Gotcha!!!!!!!!!!!

We only got to spend 2 days on this CL, during which I tried to pick holes in the high ratings it's been achieving. I thought I'd failed miserably, especially after having yummy Sunday lunch delivered to the van for us 2 and our 4 unexpected visitors - but as we left I finally managed one ! The nameplate of the CL (Dryslwyn) at the entrance is incorrectly spelled. GOTCHA !!!! Seriously, this is some CL - well done Robert & Nicola.
