We had a 5 night stay here in early September 2020
Easy to get to, only a short distance from A31/A350 roundabout.west of Wimbourne Minster
Despite the close proximity to roads there was not a big problem with noise.
Pleasant lakeside CL, good access to water point and disposal.
We visited Monkey world, Poole harbour, Arne RSPB reserve all within 20 minute drive.
One downside was electricity tripping out regularly, this does need to be addressed.
I expect the owners will sort it out soon as they have to come out to reset trip switch each time.
Despite that issue we enjoyed our stay ,this would be an excellent site for fishermen/women.
Great find
Have just returned from a 10 night stay at this beautiful site - one of the nicest CLs we’ve visited. The owners are lovely - very friendly and went out of their way to help us. The site is right on the shore of the large fishing lake and backed by fields so it has stunning views and you can walk round the lake or into the village if you wish (we drove - we liked the Coventry Arms pub 2 minutes down the road which has a nice beer garden with a stream and is dog and child friendly). The site had a bit of holiday atmosphere to it as there was a bit of activity further around the lake but is spacious enough that it also felt very quiet and peaceful. A bit of road noise from the main road nearby but this didn’t bother us. Good waste facilities and decent water pressure. We wouldn’t hesitate to return to this lovely site.

Little gem I would prefer to keep secret!
Beautiful, well kept spacious site. We had a non EHU pitch overlooking the lake, it was delightful. Short walk across fields to the CO-OP and Nisa stores, a further 0.5 mile walk to the local pub. Close to the A31 with easy access to the site. Perfect for a short get away, too nice for an overnighter!! Very friendly greeting on arrival, and a relaxed ambiance on site. Can't wait to make a return visit.
Excellent Site in a convenient location
Excellent easy access from A31.
Lovely outlook over lakes.
Everything explained on arrival by Dory and Steve Who were very helpful.
Will certainly visit again, when all facilities are open.

A Gem
We recently spent four fantastic days at Dorset Springs. The welcome from Katharine (Dory) & Steve was exceptional. They made sure we were settled and had everything we required. The location is perfect, the site is very well maintained, with amazing views across the fishing lakes. We would highly recommend Dorset Springs to anybody visiting the area. We will be back!
Simply Stunning
We found this campsite by chance and, as a bonus, it also has on site fishing. What a special little site. Owners, Steve and Dory, are friendly and welcoming without being imposing. The views of the lakes are simply stunning in all weathers. Sheep, Greece (with newly hatched goslings) and swans share the peaceful and tranquil surroundings. A true wildlife lovers paradise. We stayed may bank holiday weekend and witnessed the differing weather from sunshine to early morning misty frost. Waking up to the beauty in front of our window each morning made us smile continuously. We will most definitely return.
Thank you for sharing your ‘Garden’ with us.
Shame I cannot share the stunning photos
Amazing Site
Recently visited this fantastic site over the Easter weekend for four nights. The hosts Steve and Dory are super friendly. Views are amazing over looking beautifully kept lakes and well maintained grounds. Overall location great for access to local attractions such as Corfe Castle, Shaftsbury, Poole, Brownsea Island, Kingston Lacey. We will definitely be coming back.
