When I need some serious RnR I look for a site such as Dark Orchard. I parked over the little bridge, next to a babbling brook, and had three nights of peace and quiet. I hardly needed the provisions that I took, since there are so many fine places to eat in the nearby town. Everyone was very welcoming, the food was excellent and I even found a back-street artisan bakery that sold me the best sourdough wholemeal seeded bread I've ever eaten. Walks along the river, to the shingle beach, were refreshing and a visit to the castle and its viewing platform was most interesting.
