Excellent site in the New Forest

Just returned from a week's stay at Danebury in The New Forest. Lovely welcome letter on arrival, friendly owners stopping for a chat most days. Our daughter loved the owners ponies Mae, Candy and Daisy. She was able to help look after them and Our son enjoyed playing with the owners dogs Skye and Lunar! Clean spacious grass pitches. Waste and recycling facilities. Central location for days out. Excellent family and dog friendly pub with garden and large play area 'The Rising Sun' within walking distance. Close to beaches (Milton On Sea is dog friendly) and local shopping such as Lymmington/Lyndhurst. Free museum in Lyndhurst car park with excellent activities for the children. Visit Brokenhurst just down the road where you will find a lake the children and dogs can splash around in or take a fishing net and picnic (free parking). Local car parks excellent value at roughly £1 an hour. Access to the forest from the caravan site where you will find New Forest Ponies! Lots of beautiful walks and scenery. Visit Hurst Castle English Heritage Site (dog friendly) and very reasonably priced. Excellent site for everyone to enjoy.

We have just got back from our first visit to this site. Excellent location, facilities (CL) etc .Very well run site. A plastic folder was on the gate informing us of which pitch we were on including other information. We will return!

Lovely Site - Well located in the New Forest

We stayed at Danebury in August 2017 and had a lovely and peaceful stay. The site is ideally located for visiting all of the places in the New Forest that we enjoy and the added bonus is that the Rising Sun pub is only just up the road - serving reasonably priced meals. The site itself is spacious and well organised and the owners are welcoming, friendly and helpful. The facilities are good and clean with easy to use recycling bins. We also particularly liked having our own water supply on pitch (well, my two sons did - no filling up the water containers...!) I recommend Danebury and we will be back.

Brilliant - well done

We stayed at Danebury 21st, 22nd and 23rd September. Easy to find and a nice personalised welcoming letter. Close to all places of interest and fantastic owners who were only too happy to help. Excellent facilities, great value and great pub down the road offering sensibly priced food. Have already booked for Easter 2018 subject to weather. Looking forward to it.

Wonderful Stay

This is a lovely site in a great location with lovely walks and lovely friendly owners. You can walk directly from the site into the forest and see the wonderful wild horses, cows etc. The site is well kept with water and electric hook up for each outfit, and great chemical waste facility. We will definitely come back here again

Welcoming CL

Site in good location in south of New Forest near coast. Site itself just off a quiet road, owners welcoming and live next to site. Nice view over owners paddock with entertainment of 3 horses scampering about and 2 chickens herded into their coop everynight by the a sheepdog. Site flat and well mown, after heavy rain also appeared well drained. Own water and electric point. Nice tidy area for waste disposal. Overall a very pleasant stay and would stay again.

Perfect!

Used for a weekend getaway, this site provided all you could wish for! We were arriving late but a welcome pack attached to the gate provided all of the information that we required. The setting is beautiful and we were lucky with the weather enjoying a lazy breakfast outside of our caravan in the sunshine. We found the site to be centrally located and we enjoyed a stroll and dinner at the Rising Sun in Bashley. A huge thank you to our hosts and we will certainly be back!

Perfect Pitch

We had a very enjoyable stay at Danebury, Mike and Sue were fantastic hosts. They have excellent facilities - electric and water hook up and the site was immaculate. We highly recommend this CL and will most certainly be re-booking in the future. A big thank you to you both.
