Difficult to beat this CL

We spent 8 days on this CL. in July '16. I will not repeat the previous comments as they are exactly what I would have written. One additional aspect was watching the antics of the calves and suckling cows in the field next door. My husband always nit-picks CL's but as we drove away he said 'That will be difficult to beat'.

Fantastic Site

We have just spent the last week in May at this wonderful CL. Each pitch has its own electric, water and grey waste drain. In a small building there are recycling bins which are emptied daily and an information point. We were very warmly welcomed by Andrew and Val who are very knowledgeable about this lovely area. The view from the site is stunning, over farmland to the Pennines. The site and gardens are kept immaculate by the owners. There are numerous walks for this area all in lovely countryside. The local pub The New Inn and brewery serves great beer the food also looked good. To top off the week the sun shone what more could we ask for.

Perfection.

This CL has everything we look for in a CL and more.  The facilities are excellent with EHU, WC.  There is no shower but we are happy to use our caravan shower.  The location is amazing with outstanding views from our pitch to the fells across the valley.  A visit to Hawes or Keswick is easy.  A short walk (about 15 mins) brings you to the nearby hamlet of Brampton with the New Inn.  This pub serves lovely locally brewed ales and on certain nights  serves lovely great tasting food.   It is easy to overlook this area in a dash for the Lakes or the Dales but in doing so you would miss out on exactly what I caravan for....peace, tranquility and a very warm welcome from the owners.

Warm Welcome

First time on this site (Nov 2015) and the area and so on arrival we were meet personally by Mr Bellas which was most welcome. He showed us to our pitch and the views were breath taking. We were lucky that the weather was very good. Took a walk down to the local pub in Brampton, very good, didn't have time for food but the Ale was good. Defiantly be coming back.

Fabulous

We have visited 3 times this year. Always a personal welcome and help to site the caravan. Fabulous views, beautiful sunsets. A short walk to the New Inn at Brampton which serves good food at very reasonable prices.

Lovely Views

We stayed here on our way to and from Scotland. Its not to far from the A66 which was my main reason for booking here.I wish we could have stayed longer at this wonderful site.We were met on arrival by Mr Bellas who gave us all the information we needed. The views from the site are wonderful. We had a trip across the field to the New Inn at Brampton which is dog friendly the food is far removed from Pub Grub they serve wonderful food of which a lot is locally sourced on fri/sat/sun and also do a curry night on a wednesday for a Fiver. The beer is also from a local brewery and very good.We ate here on both nights we passed through and the food was just as good the second time around. We had time to vist near by Appleby and Penrith which are both busy little towns. We will be back for a longer stay next time.

A CL with a great view over (the) EDEN (valley).

This is a great CL. You have superb views of the Eden Valley and the North Pennine to look at while enjoying breakfast and other meals. Your hosts Val and Andrew will ensure you have a good stay on your superb level fully serviced pitch. Make sure you a Book breakfast in the Farmhouse at least once during your stay. This is the sort of CL which will make you question why you don't use CLs all the time.

Lovely Site

We stayed here towards the end of July. Only our fourth time out in a recently acquired caravan and the second time on a CL and we ll go for CL every time now. This site is lovely with fabulous views of the Pennine hills. No shower but has toilet. Beautiful villages nearby with pubs at Dufton and Brampton. Would recommend the pub at Brampton for welcome and friendliness. Appleby is less than a mile away with lovely riverside walks and interesting town. Site on a farm meant lots of noisy cows but its a working farm and didnt detract from our overall stay. Would recommend and will be back.

Scenic Site

We stayed for 2 nights in our motorhome, the site is every well kept, nice scenic views to the fells in the distance. Walks direct from the site on footpaths and quiet lanes for cycling. A ten minute walk on the footpath across the field to the "local" in Brampton. A very warm welcome to the site from Andrew, Val and Sarah. We will return.
