Cracking CL

Just back from 4 nights at the wonderful Cowslip Cottage. A warm welcome from the owners and an explanation of the facilities, which are as good as any club site, and immaculate. Had a great few days, used the P&Ride and did the open top bus to Portland Bill. Definitely a favourite and we hope to return soon.

Small but Beautiful

We have just spent a week on this site. It's a sloping site with great views. There is a very clean and well built washroom which seems very new. The whole site is clean and well maintained. Mr & Ms Durant are friendly and helpful. There is a public footpath from the site leading down through the horse paddocks, just right for a walk with the dog. Weymouth and Portland are nearby. Don't use a Sat Nav with a caravan as the lanes to the east are very narrow. We will definitely visit again when we are in the area. This is one of the best CL's we have ever been to

One of the best.

Just returned from a very enjoyable two week stay at this CL and I cannot fault the spotless facilities or the owners commitment to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Facilities include two toilets, one large shower, indoor pot/clothes washing sink and a washing machine. The site may only be a small sloping grassed area but the unmarked pitches are well spaced and most give great views over the valley with some fishing lakes below. Make sure you follow the route given by the owners as there are some narrow lanes in the other direction. As Weymouth can get very busy it can be a good idea to use the Park & Ride [located near Sainsbury’s on the ring road], parking costs £3 for all occupants. If you have a bus pass you can travel free on the open topped bus that runs from Weymouth sea front to Portland Bill. This is a very popular site and I would defiantly return if visiting this area again.

5 Star CL

This has to be one of the best CLs in the country. The facilities are second to none - spotlessly clean toilet block with separate washbasin in each toilet, free use of a washing machine and shower. The site is sloping with great views over open countryside yet only 10 minutes from supermarkets and Weymouth. Highly recommended.

Beautiful site.Highly recommended

Have just spent 10 days on this site. What a lovely site,highly recommended. The views, the owners and facilities were fantastic. The site is beautifully clean and tidy.there is a mirror opposite to help you get out into the road which is quite quiet. Thanks for a lovely stay

Excellent Hotel Standard Facilities

For a CL to offer 2 toilet cubicles, a separate shower cubicle, washing up area and FREE OF CHARGE washing machine facility, all under one roof and clean and tidy to Premier Inn hotel standard - for £15 per night, it's got to be the best value for money CL in the country! The only 2 things on my "wish list" which would make this the absolutely best CL I have ever stayed at are: 1. on site dog walking area and 2. WiFi facilities. I have voted another CL which offers the above mentioned 2 "wish list" items and charge the same price of £15 per night to be my "CL of the year". Cowslip Cottage is therefore my second favourite.

WOW best facilities for a CL I have ever seen

We are currently staying on this site and what can I say? The cleanest and tidiest facilities I have seen on a CL. We were told to pick which way we faced and given the option of which space we'd like of two as the other spots were full. Got a fab view of the fishing lake below and of the Dorset countryside - would definitely call again when in the area.

Lovely first CL

This was our first CL site to visit as new into caravanning. A lovely little site, ideally placed to explore the whole area. Access to the site good, immaculate shower/toilet area, looks like new, water and waste easy to use, layout of site good and very well maintained . Owners very friendly making us very welcome. We will return when we visit Dorset again.
