Corner Cottage

Just returned form a weekend break - as others have said it is a great site big pitches plenty of space (kids loved the swing) and will definitely go again -to be picky the water points are slightly confusing and we did miss the fresh water tap and filled from the elsan water point for the aqua roll (no concern as we drink bottled water but may be to some - its near the house btw) possibly one of the best C/L sites we've stayed at with the local information available and the shop on site

What a site

Having just returned from a 8 night stay at this site I can in all honesty say in my 13 yrs as a member this has to be one if not the best c/Li have been, owners Andy and Maggie just leave you to do your own thing, the pitches are absolutely huge with room for car, caravan, awning and still room to sit out in the sun, the pitches are level so no need to be messing about leveling up, the reception shed has everything from homemade quiche (gorgeous ) to super glue and every thing in between fantastic. The site does have a policy y of using only green in the toilet and flush tank which you can purchase from the site owners at a competitive price as I had never used the green but can say I'm sold on it pleasant smell and only needing the 1 bottle all in all perfection of a site will definatly return but can see it being full all the time

Excellent CL Site

We have just stayed at Corner Cottage, it was easy to find and offered all we require in a CL site. We were made very welcome by the owners Andy and Maggie Kitson, all the information we required was available in the `SHED`. (information room) Its a level well maintained site. It offers peace and quite and adequate walking for our dog. We had easy access to the beautiful city of Lincoln. I would recommend this site and will definitely be returning.

Corner Cottage weekend

Very welcoming and friendly owners of this peaceful, tranquil site. Because of the high winds predicted for the day of our arrival, we spoke to Maggie who advised that arriving a day earlier was not a problem. Because of the rural location it is necessary to take the route advised as the alternative is narrower and you are likely to encounter agricultural traffic! The fresh bakes for our weekend included quiche, sausage rolls and cream scones - yummy! These were served in their ‘very modern’ reception (a garden shed with everything you could need). Thank you to both Maggie and Andy for their lovely, relatively new CL.

Corner cottage

Just come back from a lovely weekend stay at corner cottage lovely and peaceful site ,Maggie couldn't do enough for you ,if you like Chinese takeaway roseorchard in collingham is the best I've had and they deliver to your caravan for £1.50 , if I had to be picky and this comment has been mentioned it's the distance you have to walk for the water and empty your toilet waste

A hidden gem ...

Corner Cottage … A beautiful and peaceful location surrounded by farm land off a quiet country road to the north of Collingham. We stayed here for 5 nights over two weekends. The hosts, Maggie & Andy are extremely welcoming. They give you space to do what you came there to do but are available to help should you need them. From homemade quiches, jam and scones and sausage/bacon baps (all made to order) along with the many essentials we often need available in ‘the shed’. Most amenities that you need are to be found in Collingham itself and the local Chinese delivers to the site, especially handy if you are arriving late without supplies onboard! The evening entertainment consisted of listening to many of natures creatures along with a spectacular display from the resident Owl. Very spacious, well kept field and pitches, recycle point, water and elsan clean and well maintained. It has certainly been added to our list of sites to return to. Thank you for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. David & Lisa.

Lovely site and really dog friendly.

Such a lovely welcome from Maggie and Andrew. Nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful huge pitches and flat as pancakes. Dogs allowed to be off the leash on site (We didn't let ours roam as we like to know where he is!). Information hut contained scones, flapjacks, eggs and household things you may have forgotten to bring but need, and maps of the area for walking. NIce walks around the area too. We had a Chinese takeaway delivered and I can honestly say it was the best I've ever had. Only slight negative is that the fresh water and toilet emptying was quite a way from the pitches. If you suffer with back problems, lugging waste water/fresh water/toilet containers was very hard over the gravel. A small paved path would resolve this, but we so enjoyed our stay.

A Gem of a Site

We recently planned to spend 3 nights at Corner Cottage but were able to extend for another couple of nights, and so glad we did! (We simply did not want to leave after 3 nights) This site is a delight and offered what we have always searched for - a peaceful and relaxing haven to shake off the stress of a busy week, set in the depths of the local countryside, yet close enough to the facilities which both the Newark and Lincoln area have to offer. The owners were extremely friendly and welcoming and explained the available amenities to us on our arrival . Nothing was too much trouble for them - and were on hand to provide advice on local shops and walks etc. The site itself is well laid out and provides an unbelievable amount of space for each outfit while surrounded by woodland and country views. I anticipate this will be a regular bolt hole for us in the future.
