CONVENIENT FOR CANTERBURY.

The owner of this site, Mrs Christine Ash, a cheerful lady, made it very easy to book and sent us explicit directions to the site, which was appreciated. In common with many other rural CLs the approach road, Bekesbourne Hill, was very narrow in places and the situation would be very difficult if you met a large vehicle travelling in the opposite direction. The road is also a rat run and if you were parked close to the road, as we were, you could hear numerous motor cars travelling at speed. As many other reviewers have mentioned, the site is a very large flat field and could in no way be described as 'lawned', as is the case in the club booklet. The only real gripe I had was with the recycling bins, which were not clearly marked. Because of this, other site-users seemed to be putting rubbish in the wrong bins and I became very confused and gave up in the end. The solution would be to write on the bins, what goes where. Having said that, we enjoyed the ten nights we spent at the site and it is very conveniently situated for touring the area.
