We have just had a 3 night stay at Church Farm, lovey clean and peaceful site, abundance of wildlife . Ian greeted us upon arrival and showed us our pitch. Hardstanding full serviced what more could you want. Will be returning in the summer
We loved this site .The owner was very pleasant and was always on hand if you should need him. The whole site was well maintained and clean, the pitches were spacious with your own water supply and electric. The dog area was ideal and fenced off .Very quiet and relaxing. Near by we found some nice walks. The actual location was a good starting point for exploring other parts of Norfolk, not to far from the coast and visitor attractions. We would recommend and we will certainly make future visits .
The showers and toilet are very clean and maintained daily. BUT, the site is cramped and very unkempt with a lack of space to sit out in the sun, unless you wanted to sit amongst other site users. There's 6 pitches instead of the 5 that should be adhered to as per the cl rules. All 6 pitches were full most of the time during the 2 weeks we stayed there. 5 of the 6 pitches are under large trees which makes the pitches very dark and beware, over caravan and awning was covered in bird muck that had to scrubbed once we arrived home. There are some wonderful sites in Norfolk so choose wisely. Would we stay here again? Definitely NOT!!
Comment from the Club:
The CL owner has been in touch to address your concerns as they work incredibly hard to ensure everyone has a wonderful stay on their CL Site. They have advised that nothing has changed in the way in which they manage and maintain the site so they are sorry you didn't enjoy the CL Site as much as the previous 46 reviews.
After 10 weeks of drought and record temperatures, the grass was yellow and the shrubs were drooping and dying. The gardener advised against cutting the grass until the drought broke. With the arrival of more seasonal weather the grass is mown, the hedges are clipped and the undergrowth is being cut.
Due to the infrequent use of Pitch 2, and due to a growing demand from their guests for on-site electric car charging, the pitch is being converted into an EV charging point. Pitch 3 will be extended to incorporate the remainder of Pitch 2.
Their tree surgeon will be undertaking the biannual trimming of the trees in the Autumn. Due to the exceptional weather, the Ash trees (free from die-back) have grown significantly over the last two years, and will be cut back accordingly. With the changing climate this will now become an annual event.
We hope this helps address your concerns.
