Spent a weekend here recently, owner was very welcoming and gave us our free card for electricity. We found that our van with alde heating used the cards very quickly and it was rather annoying to lose power in middle of night, so we would not stay here again in the winter. Three pounds worth of cards went in about five hours on a bitterly cold winters day. We also were rather hemmed in on the hardstanding by the other 2 vans and their assortment of cars and work vans. We could have used the grass but did not want to in February. The site is on a country road and nicely situated for local shops. There is a small cafe on the way to Yapton by an old mill. If you like cake then call in there as you'll not want to eat for the rest of the day after having a slice!!!

Well Spaced Out
Stayed for 5 nights, mid June. There is a large grassy field - short grass - next to a quiet country road with direct, easy access. Very economical at £9/night. There is a card system for the electricity, which I found impossible to utilise, until I was very patiently and curtiously given a private demonstration. The cost was minimal and the first £1 card is gratis. The initial entrance aspect to the site is a little off-putting, due to the lack of screening from the farming debris, but once on the field, all is forgiven. It is good for the usual town and countryside attractions. I would not recommend the nearest pub in Barnham, with a cat on the bar and dog excrement in the garden, but that is a seperate department. The CT site I would recommend.

Venturing into Sussex
June 2012 We had not really ventured East in our trusty VW Campervan so this was our first foray in this direction. We found the site quite easily with the superb instructions. It had been very rainy prior to our visit which meant the field was off limits and the owner had warned me this might be the case when I booked. Initially we thought we were going to have to squeeze into a small gap on the hard standing which would have meant little privacy for anyone. But when we went to pay the owner said they were not happy with the situation and came down and manoeuvred a few vehicles so that we got a pitch with a good distance between us and the next unit. They even provided us with an extra long hook up so that this would work!!! The site is well placed to visit, Arundel, Chichester, Goodwood and the surrounding coastline. There is a pub and shop within a short driving distance too. The showers and toilet facilities were amongst the best we have seen in a CL. We would most definitely return when the field is drier.
