Peace and tranquility at its best on a CL site

We stayed 3 nights here at the end of July, what a gem of a site. The sandy track approach can be tricky but keep to the left on the grass then swing up onto the church track you will be fine. The main track belongs to the farmer and the site is at the mercy of the farmer flattening it, but the irrigation to the fields and rain soon loosens it again. Don't let this put you off this lovely site. The site is very basic so you do need your own facilities, fresh water is available and so is toilet waste disposal. Our 6M van is all self contained with a solar panel so ideal for somewhere like this. The people collecting the money are so friendly and informative and the church is lovely. its so good the site fee goes to help the church. When we were there it was full but it did not feel like it was. We walked to Orford from the site, the footpath goes along the road for a bit and past the Froize Pub where it turns off to the right just after the pub. Its a picturesque walk to Orford ( about 3 miles) and we sat and watched a few overs of a cricket match on the way back as the footpath runs next to the pitch for a short while. we also from the site did a lovely round walk in mostly the shade of the trees into the forest behind the site. You can walk to Snape Maltings from the site and there are many footpaths through the forest, good OS map will help. This site is definitely on our come back to list as we did not have time to explore more. Thank you for such a lovely site.
