A site for relaxation

This CL offers peaceful surroundings with numerous walks along footpaths and bridleways within in a few hundred yards. Lyme Regis, seaton and sidmouth are close by so offering plenty of other things to do. the owners are very welcoming and keep the site well maintained and with it's reasonable charges I would recommend this site.

Great holiday

Graet site, Andy the owner was very caring a checked all was ok. He is also full of useful information, helping us o find our way around. Nice walk into Lyme although quite a steep walk back, we caught the bus and walked back along the public bridleway which comes out opposite the site. We also got a taxi who were more than happy to take the dog as well. Will visit again, thanks:)

Absolute bliss

What a great place to get away from it all . Miles of walking just across the lane, in forest and heathland . Away from it all yet, Lyme Regis, Charmouth , Seaton and Beer just minutes away by car, very dog friendly [restricted to certain parts of beaches and not Charmouth Jul & Aug] but not a problem. Andy the site owner could not have been more helpful and we,d both like to thank him we had a smashing break . Rod & Kim

Site for a Relaxing Break

We've been using CLs for many years but this one rates very highly in our estimation. The site was spacious and well-maintained, and the owner welcomed us on site and advised on the best place to site for maximum sun. The site was in peaceful surroundings with no road noise and close enough to Lyme Regis to walk on the beach in the evenings. We had a lovely peaceful break and will definitely be going back

CL First timers

Carnbrae was our first time on a CL site, after quite a long time caravanning we had never tried a CL We could not have picked a better site, easy to get to, plenty of room between pitches, peace and quiet, own water and electric hook-up what more could you want. Andy (the owner) was very friendly and helpful, so be warned Andy we will be back. Jennysmum aka Shelagh Allen

Just peace and quite

Second stay on this CL,the first being app. 2 years ago. If peace & tranquility is what you are seeking look no further. This CL is really quite, in fact during our weeks stay we saw little passing traffic,& what little there was certainly caused no problem. As mentioned in a previous review the approach is quite narrow, also directions may be better if given from the Dorchester direction as I suspect most people will approach from that direction (ie from M27 A31 & A35) . Try the local Pub the Hunters Lodge, the meals are fantastic & good value, you may need to book though as they get very busy from early evening. The owner Mr Turner is very obliging & happy to assist with local directions if needed. He has obviously invested a lot to ensure your stay is a happy one, the individual pitches are larger then a lot of CLs we have used & the water supply to each pitch is really useful, so when thinking of your next break, head for this CL site, you won't be disapointed.

We love it

This CL is the only site we return to again and again.....This is quite possibly the quietest site we have been on. On arrival you can pick your pitch (which is plenty big enough), there is water and elec to each pitch, and I've never seen grass so short. Access to the site is through some short narrow lanes, so just take it slow, nothing taxing. Usual rubbish and sanitary facilities. The owner is friendly and welcoming. During any of our stays we can quite honestly say you would be unlucky to hear more than a handful of cars. There is no light pollution so star gazing is great...similar to being on the moors. Access to local roads and places of interest is good, Lyme is only a few minutes away, and there is also some good walking in the woods..And plenty of bunnies! But don't tell everyone!
