You really should avoid this CL as it’s way too quiet! I mean why would you want to stay at a site where the only sound at night is the Owls hooting? The pitches are too flat so there’s no enjoyment to be had from trying to level your van with numerous pieces of timber or bricks. And what’s with the short cut grass with no clippings to drag into your van? Where has the fun gone from CL caravanning? You won’t like the surroundings either; Lyme Regis has no amusement arcades, tacky gift shops or garish shop fronts. And if you enjoy walking in the countryside then look elsewhere as those rolling green hills and cliff top views are not worth the pain that’s inflicted on your legs and feet. So do yourself a favour and stay well clear. As for myself would I return? Well I don’t mind roughing it!
2nd visit this year
Returned from our 2nd visit to this fabulous site on 9th September and had 8 glorious days here. As usual Andy and Debs were on hand if required or if you needed any info. Weather fantastic and Lyme Regis also had their "Guitars on the Beach" weekend. We hope to spend a few more days here before the end of October as we cannot rate this C.L highly enough, home from home.

Lots of space and at night can hear a pin drop.
Just spent 5 nights at this site.
Made very welcome by Andy who gave us all the information we required and checked to see if all was well.
Very impressed just how much space we had and with our own water supply. Ideally placed for trips down to the coast. If planning to walk to Lyme Regis remember if you go down you have to come back up. We have a motorhome but were able to visit the coast and parked easily at West Bay and Charmouth.
The extensive woodland by the side of the site provides ideal walking opportunities especially if you have a dog. If you want a quiet site this is one for you.
We will certainly visit again.

Just what a C.L should be.
We were met on arrival by Andy the owner who was most welcoming and advised us to pitch on any one of the available pitches. These were well spread out with electric and water at each pitch that had been well maintained and neatly cut. We were there for 6 nights and the site is extremely quiet so we managed to totally relax when on site. There is a bridleway and woods 20 yards up the road so was ideal for us to walk the dog.
The main A35 was a few minutes drive away so touring the local area was easy. This site is just what C.L's should be like with the added advantage of being run by a great guy. Many thanks Andy for a great stay.

A super week in September
We have just spent eight nights staying on this great C.L. Received a lovely welcome from Andy and we can only endorse all his other excellent reviews. We woke up every morning to the misty sunrise across his field of sheep - beautiful! With so many super places to visit nearby there is something for everyone. If you like gardens you must visit the charming Burrow Farm Gardens at Dalwood, nr. Axminster which Mary Benger has created since 1959 - lovely coffee and cake too! If you love birds the Axe estuary is a must either from the bird hides or on the tram to Colyford. We do hope to stay at Carnbrae again one day.

Peace & quite
Just returned (16 Sept) from this great CL after spending 10 nights on it. This is my third visit and still impressed with the peacefulness of it. Andy the site owner was as helpful as ever, and really makes you feel wanted. I think ,in total we saw app. 6 cars pass the CL during our stay, weather great CL even better, location breathtaking so what could be better. If you find a better CL please let me know.
A Devon Delight!
This CL offers everything we enjoy about caravanning; a peaceful and relaxing environment with lots of space, a location that's perfect for accessing the coast and seaside towns, and if you don't want to drive, there's numerous walks direct from the site. Andy, the owner, was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
A site for relaxation
This CL offers peaceful surroundings with numerous walks along footpaths and bridleways within in a few hundred yards. Lyme Regis, seaton and sidmouth are close by so offering plenty of other things to do. the owners are very welcoming and keep the site well maintained and with it's reasonable charges I would recommend this site.

Great holiday
Graet site, Andy the owner was very caring a checked all was ok. He is also full of useful information, helping us o find our way around. Nice walk into Lyme although quite a steep walk back, we caught the bus and walked back along the public bridleway which comes out opposite the site. We also got a taxi who were more than happy to take the dog as well.
Will visit again, thanks:)
