This is a quiet (despite Stansted Airport traffic) and delightfully remote site in rural Essex. The field is flat, so very easy for either caravan or motorhome, and the village historic (Mott and Bailey from Norman Castle, ancient churches, etc). Easy access to Gt Dunmow, Chelmsford, and other places you may or may not want to visit, but also to Audley End, Saffron Walden, Finchingfield, which you almost certainly do. Gt Dunmow, to my astonishment, has a 24-hr Tesco, I am sure somebody knows why. The welcome is warm, and I can say no more than I shall certainly go back again.
