Nice site, but a bit cramped

Booked Broomedge Farm for 4 nights mid week in October 2023. Booking by email was easy and fuss free. Access is via a single track stony drive, it is a working farm so dogs on leads at all times. Farm gate into the pitch area keeps the site separate to the farm. The owners are friendly but not overbearing. Initially we were the first unit on the site and were given the choice of which pitch we fancied. We chose the first pitch next to the grass and faced towards the city (grass area was closed due to very heavy rain and was waterlogged). The views are amazing and you can see for miles on a clear day. The first couple of days were great as there was lots of space to move about, but once two more vans arrived, it became very cramped on the hardstanding and difficult to park your car. There was a moho pitched next to the drinking water outlet, and I was stood directly next to their window filling my aquaroll. It felt too close and encroaching on their space. The hardstanding was also very puddly and muddy once the rain came down. In the summer once the grass is opened up I think the site would be lovely, but in the winter, there's probably only comfortable enough space for 2 units. Shower and toilet facilities are of a good standard but could have been a little bit cleaner. Good dog walks locally too, straight out the site. The Jolly Thresher pub is within walking distance (2mins) and has good food and drink available.
