Fully Serviced

We stayed here at the end of May beginning of June for 7 nights, a lovely 5 van cl with all hard standing fully serviced pitches and a lovely new toilet shower block (showers 20p). The site is immaculate in every way and ideally situated to explore North Wales and the Snowdonia National Park. The Owners are very welcoming and extremely hard working. The only down point is that pitch sizes are not the biggest with only just enough room for our full awning, but this will not put us off staying here again if we are in the area.

Our stay

We recently visited this site, partly because of the awards it has won, and we were disappointed. The site itself is beautiful and very well maintained. The new shower block is outstanding. The outlook from the site is spectacular. However, in 35 years of caravanning our pitch was the worst we have ever stayed on. Pitch number 5 is right next to a line of hedging. We have a Bailey Pageant Moselle- your average family caravan. We were positioned right on the outer limits of the pitch and yet our awning (a full awning) could not be properly erected- the one end was literally in the trees and the poles couldn't be extended fully. The view then from the awning was just this line of trees and was very dark. In addition to this the hardstanding seems to have been fixed with tar. Everything is covered in tar marks, our caravan seats, the awning itself even our poor German Shepherd dog! We love the area and cannot fault the welcome we had or the cleanliness or beauty of the site but we will not be returning.

Nice site, good location

We are Dutch members and traveled 6 weeks through England and Wales. If possible we stayed on club sites. However we found that in certain area’s the club sites are fully booked weeks ahead. This makes spontaneous touring difficult. The quality of all club sites was excellent. All sites where conform the descriptions in de directory or website. For others, from outside the UK, we recommend to become a member of the Caravan Club. Owner was very helpfull in helping to get internet access.
