Revisited after an absence of a few years. The owners Beryl and John Edwards are constantly upgrading the CL. Since our last visit the CL has been re-contoured resulting larger pitches which are level with the surrounding grass. Checkout the photos on the website. The CL is so popular John was telling me that he wants to do some work on one of the trees and is having to wait until January before the CL will be quiet enough! The CL got so popular that a dozen years ago John and Beryl built Bron Derw Touring Park. We’ve stayed there when there’s no space on the CL. This is the only commercial site I’ve been on which is of the quality of a Club site, indeed it surpasses it. Large level pitches, most with views of the surrounding hills. The Touring Park became so popular that John and Beryl then built on the other side of the CL Parc Derwen which is an adult-only site. Now that too is often fully booked. When we were there October every pitch on all 3 sites was taken! But despite them being full, at night is like a Club site – very quiet. They’re in easy walking distance of Llanrwst and only 5 minutes’ drive from Snowdonia and Gwydyr Forest with its 25 km off-road Marin bike trail and over 100 miles of footpaths. Betws y Coed and Bodnant Garden (the best garden in Britain) are only 10 minutes away. Llandudno and the North Wales coast are only another 10 minutes. The views from the site pitches are better than the CL. We much prefer CLs and avoid commercial sites but have no hesitation in recommending all 3 here.
EXCELLENT CL SITE
We have just returned home from our 11 night first trip to Wales and we were not disappointed. What a gem of a CL site, everything you could wish for from a CL site it is the best cl we have stayed at.
The Edwards family are lovely people and very friendly and helpful nothing was to much trouble. The site has easy access, fantastic sized pitches and immaculately kept. A small shower block but no washing up facilities that is why it is only £18 for pitch and 2 people, no charge for dog's our two springer's loved it. Lovely little village an easy walk from site with a bakers, fish & chips, small supermarket, bank, post office and on a Tuesday there is a small market. We had beautiful weather some day's it was to hot but we were able to take the dog's to the river that run's through the town and is in easy walking distance of site.
Visit this little gem she also has two other site's BRON DERW TOURING PARK or PARC DERWEN which is exclusively for adults check them out on the website www.bronderw-wales.co.uk we were so impressed with this site that we have rebooked for our holiday next year so roll on 2017.
Lovely site, very welcoming hosts
We have just stayed for 5 nights in a motorhome. The site has very easy access, nice size pitches, immaculately kept. The lady in reception was very helpful and friendly. 10 minute walk into the town where there is everything you need. We had horrendous weather but still enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return.

Perfect
This was everything you could wish for from a CL plus more. It is the best CL we have ever stopped at. We will certainly return, but cannot praise the site and owners enough. A credit to them.

Simply stunning
This is an excellent CL. You probably won't find better. One wet room shower very new and clean. Shower 20p but even my husband needed 40p's worth of time to finish, so make sure you go with enough 20ps. One ladies toilet and sink room and one men's equivalent, both new and very clean. Site is spacious and beautifully kept. Lovely Chinese takeaway and award winning Indian takeaway in town. Lots of dog friendly shops and pubs close by. We will be trying The Old Stag at Llangernyw and Tyne-y-coed at Capel Curig, both are dog friendly and have extensive menus. We are so impressed with this CL, you must give it a try if visiting North Wales.
A beautiful cl,highly recommend
Had a great 3 days on this cl,pitches are huge and flat, water hook up electric and TV to every pitch, toilet and showers are lovely and clean,20 pence for a shower if your quick best taking 40 pence just in case.we will be back :)
Well deserved CL of the year.
Just come back from 12 days here, and can only concur with all the awards and praise this CL gets. Owners extremely welcoming and helpful, facililties first class, and if we hadn't seen the other 2 sites on the farm we wouldn't have been aware of their existence, the whole farm site was very quiet. Site perfectly placed for exploring North Wales, and the local town has all the amenities you need, including dog friendly pubs! Will certainly be returning.
Lives up to it's name
A beautiful and well deserved CL site. Very clean and lovely people. Always welcoming and helpful. Peace and quiet and a beautiful site. Well kept. Will be visiting soon.
Award winning CL site
We have to say that this is one of the best and friendly cl sites we have ever stayed on.
The pitches are all hard standing with enough room to set everything up as we do not take half of our house with us. The facilities are superb with a lovely washroom and shower block on the cl site what more could anyone want. Fully serviced pitches as well, takes cl users to another level.
Beryl, John and all their family work so hard to keep this site looking so good. We have come back from many a walk and just put the kettle on and sat outside our van having a cuppa, listening to the peace and quiet and the lovely views. You would never believe that there are 3 sites here as it is so quiet.
We keep saying that we will go somewhere else the following year but we just seem to get drawn back to it again and again and so do a lot of other people, so they must be doing something right.
Deserves all the awards that they get and long may they do so.
Even our dog loves to return here as he has got a little stream on the dog walk for him to cool off in.
