Found this little gem 7 years ago and return several times a year. During this time we have met several members who do the same.  The pub is wonderful olde world and beautiful during the summer months thanks  to Bernie the landlady's greenfingers. The food and beer is really good thanks to Peter the landlord. The site itself is always well maintained and Peter is always looking at ways to improve things. I am not sure when the member who said there was road noise and HGVs going by visited, but in the last 7 years we have never experienced any such thing. However it is to be noted that this is the country and is in the heart of a farming community so there will be the odd tractor going by during the day.  Out of all the CLs we have visited this is definitely our favourite.
