Such a great location for a very impressive site.
Spacious, clean, well kept and peaceful.
This was our first time at Brandon Ford and we have already booked for next year!! If that doesn't endorse how much we enjoyed our two weeks here then nothing will.
Thanks Cameron & Jess, see you next year.
A truly excellent site.
Stayed here for 12 nights. The East field has lovely views across fields to the distant hills. All pitches have water, ehu and grey water disposal and are perfectly level. Cameron is an excellent host. The site is immaculate as are the farm buildings and yards although these are some distance away and there was no noise or disturbance from the farm activities. The local area is beautiful with the shallow river Breamish flowing next to the site as well as a nature reserve with lovely walks around it. Recommend visiting Alnmouth, Alnwick, Kielder Water, Craster. The local Londis in the Esso station on the A697 which you pass when approaching from the south is very well stocked.
Nearly missed the entrance!
I cannot add much more to previous reviewers. A truly magical site, quiet, well run and good for the soul.
Well done Cameron!!

Fabulous Brandon Ford
We have just spent 2 wonderful weeks here. What a lovely CL, close to all of Northumberlands fantastic coast, crags and castles, but far enough away for peace and tranquillity at the end of the day. Cameron was lovely and regularly popped round to make sure everything was OK. Pitches were level and well kept, the whole site was lovely. Can recommend a Sunday lunch at The Bosk but make sure you book well in advance. Super walk through the nature reserve next door and the river was fab for a paddle. Would definitely recommend, thank you Cameron for a great stay.

A wonderful 3 week stay!
We stayed at Brandon Ford CL for 3 weeks in July and had a wonderful time. We can understand why it’s so difficult to get a pitch here, and you really do need to book well in advance.
There are two CL sites, the East and West Fields. The pitches are serviced pitches with water and electricity included and grey waste disposal. Pitches are very well kept, with grass mowed regularly, even when Cameron was busy on the farm. The recycling facilities and toilet disposal are clean and tidy, but a sign on the gate may be useful as some people needed directing.
Cameron is very nice and helpful, and regularly calls into the site to check all is OK. Jess sells home made goodies and eggs (hens allowing!). We tried some of Jess’s delicious sausage rolls. Their little boy is gorgeous, and loves to help his dad!
The site itself is very quiet, with the only rare traffic being from the farm. It is next to a nature reserve, and there’s a lovely walk over the river bridge to the next village and The Bosk restaurant (you need to book ahead – sadly, we didn’t manage to get in!). We tried the fish and chip van which calls to the Club site down the road at Breamish on Monday nights – very good!
We were lucky enough to see the stoat which we think lives under the slab by the gate. We also had plenty of birds on our bird feeder – greenfinches, chaffinches, coal tits, blue tits, great tits and more, and the sparrowhawk came for breakfast on a couple of occasions . There were also lots of oystercatchers and buzzards.
We had a wonderful boat trip (Billy Shiels) from Seahouses to the Farne Islands to see puffins, guillemots, razorbills, kittiwakes and seals. Cragside, Warkworth Castle, Dunstanburgh Castle and definitely worth a visit. Alnwick Castle was good, and we saw children enjoying broomstick training. If you intend visiting Alnwick and Bamburgh Castles, consider joining Historic Houses Association, as you get in free, and to other places in the area.
If you need a new gas bottle during your stay, the ironmongers in Rothbury is over £10 cheaper than the local garage.
Out and about, we can recommend The Black Bull Inn at Etal and the Harbour Inn at Amble. More locally, The Tankerville Arms at Eglingham is excellent.
The signage to the site entrance may need to be a little clearer, local regulations allowing. We nearly took the wrong turn and saw others drive towards the ford and need to reverse. But a wonderful stay!!
We will be back
Beautiful, well-kept site, in an ideal location for exploring the Cheviots, Northumberland coast. All pitches are fully serviced and all for £20 a night. We had a very peaceful and restful stay and will definitely be back next year.
A gem of a site
Lovely well kept site, very clean and tidy, owner Cameron very friendly and helpful.
Easy to travel around we went up to Holy Island and down to Alnwick in our car. Also went to Seahouses and Bamburgh Castle. Lots to see and do from the site. There's a shop in the local garage or a Wooler. Would definitely use again as the scenery is stunning and it's so peaceful and a nice stream for the dogs to play in
