Can't wait to return

We have just returned from our first visit to Anglesey and Brambles CL. Both deserve 5 stars. There is so much to see and do on the island and Brambles is ideally placed for visiting all areas. Eric and Sue have created a little oasis on the edge of Newborough Forest with its numerous walks and beautiful beach. The CL has a well thought out set of hardstanding pitches with water, EHU, grey waste drainage and recycling bins to each pitch. Also, a very clean, covered building for emptying black waste. Whilst we didn’t use the shower and toilet block it seemed to be very presentable. We tow an 8.3mtr caravan and strongly recommend larger units to follow the alternative route recommended by Eric. From booking to arrival, we received a number of emails full of useful information which we felt was a great help. On arrival we were welcomed by Sue who directed us to our pitch and gave a quick resume of the facilities etc. Whilst on the island we walked various sections of the Anglesey Coastal Path, visited Plas Newydd house and grounds (NT), and had a brilliant boat trip (Seacoast Safaris) from Beaumaris to see the various bridges spanning the Menai Strait and Puffin Island (yes, we did see puffins, grey seals and harbour porpoise). My wife is Coeliac and it was great to discover a Cantonese restaurant in Bangor that had a full menu of GF and GF options. Our first Chinese meal in the 10 years since her diagnosis. Thank you, Garden Hotel & Cantonese Restaurant, in the High Street, Bangor. We are now about to book a return visit to Brambles CL to see all those places we missed after running out of time and spend longer revisiting the places we saw on this trip. Can’t wait to return.
