Peaceful stay

Ideal site for our bank holiday weekend away - just a shame the weather was rubbish! We booked this site over the CL Booking App - and Penny confirmed our stay on the same day. Her email also contained all the information needed for a seamless arrival. We paid in advance via BACS to secure our pitch. Ehu was extra at .39p pkwh - we paid just over £11 for the 4 days of our stay. The pitches are all hard standing with cut grass in between each pitch. It's just a shame that the grass cuttings aren't collected as trailing wet grass into the motorhome sometimes couldn't be avoided. We also had to speak to Penny as her little dog pooped on one of the pitches. She did clear it up, but there was an occasion when we had to clear a poop away ourselves on our pitch - but we didn't see the culprit this time. In between our pitch and our neighbour's there was a picnic table, which did get used on the rare occasion when the sun did shine. We enjoy cycling and with many quiet roads/various cycle routes in the area, we were able to get out and about - even though we got absolutely soaked to the skin on our ride back from Blickling Hall on the Friday. The nearby heath/wooded area was also lovely to walk around - especially with the added bonus of the ponies on the heath. We cycled down to the village of Marsham one evening for a meal in the Plough Inn. It took just over 10 minutes to cycle there and the food was excellent. It was lovely to stay on a CL that wasn't overpriced too - as just lately we have seen the prices rocket. On the whole we enjoyed our stay, it was lovely watching Penny's ponies frolicking in the adjacent paddock, as well as trying to identify all the bird sounds we heard. We even heard a cuckoo - a rare occurrence these days.
