One of the best

For me this is the best CL I have stayed on and we have been to quite a few. A wonderful and very warm welcome from Julie. She couldn't have been more helpful and did everything to make our stay very peaceful. We were meant to stay for one night and ended up there for 5 which says it all really. Yes the access road is narrow but we got our pretty large Motorhome down there with no problems. It was great to listen to the sound of the sheep and they look after all their animals so well

Clive's review below is spot on

Lovely tranquil site. Warm welcome from caring owners. Lost count of the number of hill tops you can see from this very panoramic location! Recommended.

A Fantastic CL

I can only echo what previous reviewers have said; this is a great CL for peace and quiet. We had been warned that the owners would not be around when we arrived but they emailed us directions and a phone number if we had any problems (which we didn't have). Follow the directions and totally ignore your SatNav. The last half mile may seem a little narrow (this is the South Hams) but trust the directions and you will be rewarded with a CL with neatly trimmed grass and hard-standings all with wonderful views. Go there!

A Gem of a site

June/Sept 2016. If you want a quiet rural retreat, then this is the site for you. It over looks beautiful rolling countryside. In the adjacent field you can enjoy either the sheep and lambs or cattle (depending on the time of year you visit). Central to N.T. properties, coastal walks and some lovely towns - Totnes, Kingsbridge and Dartmouth are great to visit. Julie and family are friendly, helpful and welcoming. Will definitely visit again.

Lovely CL

We spent 6 nights here in May, 2016.  Lovely views, very quiet.  Excellent eggs, laid by the farm hens!  Julie was very helpful indeed.  Definitely a CL we would return to.

A little Gem in the Devonshire Dumplings as we like to call the hills

My husband and I have just had 10 wonderful days and nights in this site. Just after Christmas through the New Year .. and it is a lovely site ... the views are the best ever 25 miles over to Dartmoor one way and to the back of Torquay in the far distance the other way ...easy to get to Dartmouth, Kingsbridge and Totnes... (Julie and Adrian have inherited the site and want to do it up a bit in time, so if we all go and stay they will be able to do that ... ) The nights are amazing so dark and quiet it does a body good ... and to wake up to fresh eggs and be able to see the chickens that laid them is a great bonus ... It can be a bit windy as it is high but we loved it all; and I feel sure that you will too.. that extra air will be wonderful in the Summer ... The lane into the farm is a little narrow but very little traffic uses it so we had no trouble at all just be careful..

Splendid CL. Good Setting.

Just had ten wonderful days (nights!) at this lovely Certified Location in beautiful Devon. Granted we had lots of rain to contend with but Caravnners are a hardy lot. New CL owners and hard working farmers, Adrian and Julie were kept VERY busy lambing during our stay. The views are stunning and the peaceful ambiance outstanding. Nothing like eating eggs fresh from the farm's chickens and hearing all the noises associated with a farm setting. The owners hope, as finances allow, to slightly upgrade some of the facilities. The more we CLer's use the site, the quicker this can happen. We have no hesitation recommending this CL to all the Club members.

Excellent site

A lovely tranquil, quiet site.  Excellent facilities close by and superb views across the valley towards Dartmoor.  Off the beaten track and hard to find so get instructions from the owner as the satnav takes you down very narrow lanes.  This is a working farm so expect animal noises but no traffic which we thought was great.  Will definitely use again if in the area - don't forget to buy some eggs before you leave.  Thanks Julie good to meet you!

We did return

Returned this week. New owners very helpful even though busy with lambing. This is a working farm but the CL is off to the side. Site tidier than previous visits and although a very basic CL it is exactly what we enjoy, and yes - we will be back again. Well done...baaaaa!

What a Gem

We stayed on this site coming up to Easter 2014. The views are spectacular and we were on our own for 4 days out of 6. Every pitch is hard-standing and facilities are clean and tidy. No showers or toilets, bring your own! The access lanes are a little narrow but then this is Devon and it's only the last mile or so with plenty of passing places. The site is very central for South Hams with plenty to see and do. Don't miss a trip down the river from Totnes to Dartmouth - beautiful. The local pub does reasonable food and good beer for those who like to eat out.  I did think that I shouldn't write a review of this site but that would be unfair to David and Diana as this site should be full all summer. We will be back
