We had a lovely 1 night stay. Julie was very welcoming and site was clean and tidy with lots of sanitiser points. Nice views over the South Hams and had a great home made burger at the Old Inn.

Lovely quiet CL

Great site, peaceful and great views. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The site is tidy with good facilities and has a great location for exploring this part of Devon. The access roads can be a bit narrow and we struggled to find public transport. The sheep are great and so are the hens - and the fresh eggs. Would definitely stay again.

A gem of a site

A very warm welcome by Julie the site owner and a buitifully kept site it is with stunning views. the first time you come down the access road its a bit scary but after that its ok but do take note of the directions sent to you for the final part. DO NOT take notice of your sat nav. This is high on the best list of cl I have been on over the past 35 years

Just perfect

Just returned from a three night stay on this CL, and will rate it 100%. The directions given by Mrs Rich were perfect for getting to the site, and easy to follow, and we were made to feel very welcome. Pitches were spacious, with fabulous far reaching views, it was a bank holiday and we had the place to ourselves. Brilliant position to explore the surrounding areas, and what a beautiful part of the world it is. The site is so peaceful and relaxing, great to have EHU, waste and water close to hand. I cannot praise this CL enough, just to add it is perfect.

EASTER 2019

This is one of the best CL's we have used. The previous reviews have said listed all the advantages of the site and I have nothing to add, other than we had a great time and the facilities are just right, and for only £12 per night.

Simply perfect

Lovely site with excellent level hard standing pitches beautifully spaced and all with stunning views. Good water and emptying point and tidy bins and recycling. Arrival is easy if you follow Julie's excellent directions and turn your sat nav off from Totnes! Lanes typical of Devon but all negotiable with care and good manners. We have just enjoyed 9 nights at this site which currently overlooks the farm's flock of sheep and their lambs who entertained us every day with their antics. We also enjoyed fresh eggs every day for breakfast from the very friendly hens. A working farm on the tail end of lambing Julie was a very busy lady but always found time to speak to us and offer any help should we need it. There is so much to do in this area... 6 miles from Dartmouth and Totnes and an easy drive to Exeter and Plymouth if you want a city day. Beaches galore, NT properties and Dartmoor to name but a few. I would highly recommend this site...book early it was full for several days whilst we were there in April. We will certainly return.

Quiet and rolling hills

For us, the perfect CL. The 5 pitches are next to each other so the view remains unspoilt even when full and the view is of green rolling hills. A working farm which was very quiet during our stay. The access is narrow lanes with very few houses, so very few cars to meet, and passing places. Owners very friendly but not intrusive. Stayed a week and would definitely return.

Main holiday

We couldn't have picked a better location. As said in other reviews the scenery and tranquility is perfect, beautiful views and no road noise whatsoever. We stayed for 11 night's and enjoyed every minute and Julie made us most welcome during our stay and the eggs were the best that I have had in a very long time. It is half a mile from Morleigh to the fork where one branches off to the right and half a mile from the fork to the farm with plenty of passing places. In all the 12 days that we were there coming and going every day not once did we encounter any vehicle from the fork to the farm and in the 12 day's only twice did we encounter two vehicles between Morleigh and the fork and one of those vehicles was Julie's husband and in both cases they stopped immediately to let us pass. I must admit that I was a little apprehensive to the approach after I googled the site as another caravanner also said to me there but was very surprised as it was nowhere near as daunting as I thought it was going to be. We had far more grief in the 7 hours that it took us to get home due to being diverted off two motorways during the night because they were completely closed between certain junctions than in all the time we were there. The location is ideal for touring all around the South Hams, Paignton, Brixham, Dartmouth, Salcombe etc. We also popped down to Looe and Polperro in Cornwall for a day's outing which was no problem at all. There was certainly plenty to do in the surrounding areas and we probably never saw half of what there is to see. TV reception is very good but if using an external satellite dish as we did it is 100% perfect there are no obstructions anywhere near the direction of the satellite. The site is very dog friendly. The information on the Caravanner and Motorhome Club website regarding Boreston Farm is not strictly correct! It says, from £10.00, well, IT IS ONLY £10.00 including all occupant's, secondly, it says extras, electrical hook up available, this is NOT an extra IT IS INCLUDED in the £10.00 so all in all an excellent fee. The river trip from Totnes to Dartmouth was well worthwhile and a visit to the chilli farm are amongst many interesting attractions. Finally, I would recommend this site hands down for the tranquility and views that it possesses. If we ever decide to visit Devon again then it's a no-brainer. Happy and safe caravanning or motorhoming.

Early Autumn Break

I am in complete agreement with the other positive reviews of this CL. My wife and I have just returned from a five-night stay at Borestone Farm. What a great experience this was. Firstly the views from the caravan pitches are stunning. Secondly, the total quiet away from traffic noise and other everyday urban noise. We only met Julie the CL owner and found her to be a very friendly and helpful. We have three miniature Schnauzer dogs who are used to being let off the lead and running in fields where we live. On speaking with Julie, I was allowed to exercise them in a field immediately in front the caravan pitch. This was brilliant for our dogs. I did so, I must point out, on the understanding that I picked up any mess they made as the field would return to animal pasture. This was not a problem and I was extremely grateful for her kindness. With regard to the CL itself, it is maintained to a high standard with a good sized hard standings and short well-cut grass on fairly level ground. Access to the CL is narrow on the lanes for the last mile to the site but is achievable without too much difficulty. I have no hesitation in recommending this CL, my wife and I together with our Schnautzer's will return in the near future.

Don't want to write a review as want to keep it a secret.

What a very special place. Not the easiest approach but so worth it when you arrive. Views virtually three side from your pitch, which is a gravel standing with grass. Water point a few steps away as is the grey water and toilet disposal point. The bins (recycle and waste) are on your way out. Julie made us feel very welcome. Very dog friendly and plenty of nearby doggy walks. Pubs both super friendly to us and our dog. Handy spot for all areas for shopping and beaches and of course the wonderful Dartmoor, which you can see from the site.
