There's a but...

Well located for the various local attractions and places of interest. Mr Ross has put much effort into making this a CL that is different from the "usual" CLs in the club system. The water and grey waste at each pitch are very convenient. The site and pitches are easy to access, we had a warm welcome. We chose this CL because it is advertised as being Adult Only, the website makes this very clear. We were booking in for a weekend visit, we wished to avoid footballs and feral children. We were somewhat surprised then to be joined by a family. Having children playing boules in front of our van was not what we expected, and they were playing late into the evening, gone 21.45, hardly relaxing for us. The information hut on site offers children's games, a variety of bats, balls, hoops etc. Why? On an Adult Only site this seems to make no sense. So, is it an Adult Only site or not?

As the owner of Bonnyview Caravan Park CL I can only apologise for the discomfort caused.

We are indeed an adult only site but occasionally people do not properly read the listing and arrive with children.

Usually we pick this up as the booking is made but it is not always easy to identify.

If this happens we try and accommodate the family but stress very strongly that the children behave, especially with regard to running about and making noise.

A simple text would have cleared this up in seconds and disappointingly this was not made so I could not take corrective measures.

I love toys even at the age of sixty five!

I have enjoyed demonstrating my live steam model railway on the site to many adults who really appreciated the flashback to childhood days.

The information shed has jigsaws, books, boules, croquet, cards etc. all bought from charity shops and for the enjoyment of adults with the occasional younger person to boot.

So in conclusion may I again offer my sincere apologies but I and indeed many other adults remain children at heart who will forever love the magic of toys.

Kindest regards,

Andrew Ross
