First Ever Motorhome Trip Which Didn’t Disappoint!

This was our first ever Motorhome trip, we chose the site to try out our outfit with the confidence of having support on hand. I’d read the reviews and the Bluebell Field fitted the bill. We were met by John on our arrival who was most welcoming and gave us the priceless advise of not to onto the field as it would be difficult for our motorhome due to the event unprecedented rainfall. John located us in the overnight stop area in the car park which had all the required facilities. We took the advise from previous reviews and booked a table for dinner that night. We were not disappointed by the pub, food and beer. I’ve two particular interests, micro breweries and steaks! On both accounts my expectations were surpassed, the Lincoln Red T-Bone steak was to die for, the best steak I’ve had in many years. The fish option was enjoyed by my wife too. I took the opportunity to sample all the micro brewed beers on tap, three in total available, ranging from Light to moderately strong. None disappointed, with take home options available. Pricing was very reasonable, with the added bonus of discount on your pitch fee on the nights you eat in the pub. The pub was very well supported, with a very interesting mix of customers. The layout and decor was very interesting good with large leather sofa’s/chairs, log burners, a snug and very well appointed restaurant. We only stayed for one night, but will definitely be back, as everything was just perfect and has really given us a great start to our new experiences of motorhoming. Thank you to John, Jenny and the whole team for getting us of to a great start to our new adventures.

Enjoyable Stay

Very neat tidy site to side of pub with water , electric and waste grid on each H/S pitch with plenty of room for caravan +awning+car . Spotless Toilets and shower in pub with access at all times . Pub has own microbrewery and can highly recommend "IngleDingle" , one of the best pints I've had , easily compares with Wychwood Hobgoblin and Theaxtons Old Peculier . Well placed for travelling around the area (which is lovely) but take care on the B roads especially when towing as can be like rollercoaster (we witnessed a 16 tonne wagon in the ditch and road had to be closed to retrieve it ) . Up to date price in late July £17.50/night

Fantastic place to stay

Second time staying here and it’s a real joy. Everything is immaculate. Ask John for a tour of his brewery. Can’t wait to return when I’m that way again.

Top CL

Second time we have used this site - extremely well set up and run. Each pitch has it's own water tap and grey waste point. The pitches are even and well spaced out. The shower and toilets are kept very clean too. The pub serves good food and some lovely beers which are brewed in the owners own micro brewery which John kindly gave us a tour of. On Monday the pub is closed but open the rest of the week. Cannot fault it and nothing is too much trouble. Had the carvery on the Sunday and that was really good. Well done to the owners!!!

Great Site with Great hosts

What a find.... Just spent 2 nights here for a relaxing weekend away, one of the best CL sites we have been to with hook-up and fresh water taps on every well maintained pitch. The Pub serves great food and John was a superb host. Definately book in advance if you want to eat in the Pub as people were queing out of the door. Even though it was fullty booked they accomodated us (and our dog) and for the second evening John reseved a table for us (nice touch, thank you) I cannot comment on access to palces of local interest as we didnt leave the site - but it was easy enough to get to the main routes whilst still being very much out of the way. If you are looking for a quiet place with good food and beer produced on site, then look no further. We will be back......

No 1 CL so far for us!!

Absolutely fantastic site, thought of everything and then there’s the food in the pub - which was awesome too.

If you haven’t been already get it booked, you won’t be disappointed. 👌👌👌👍👍❤️

To good to be true ?

Just spend 2 nights with the motorhome at the Blue Bell Fields, having read the reviews before booking I thought they were to good to be true, how wrong was ! From arriving to leaving everything surpassed even the most gushing reviews I had read. Thank you John & Jen

Weekend break

Spent 3 nights here with the family, 7 of us in our party. Very warm welcome from the hosts John and Jen, had the pick of the pitches, all very nice and clean. Access to toilet and showers 24 hours a day, There is a micro brewery on site too The site is situated behind the Bluebell Inn pub and restaurant, lovely food and generous portions, Plenty of local attractions around, but you do need a car to transport around. Cost for 3 nights was £40 which was great value and included a discount for eating in the restaurant.

Peaceful site

Warm welcome to this immaculatey kept site. Pitches gravel with grass between, Only down side no 5 needs a long EHU lead, but worth it. Free Wifi quicker than at home. TV reception I bit spotty but able to hookup at EHU post, so not a problem. Facilities in the pub but able to access 24 hours & spotlessly clean. Already planning our next visit with friends. If you want peace & quite with access to pub/ resultant can't go wrong with Bluebell Inn.
