Traditional value for money CL with fantastic views
I have stayed at this CL three times over the last 5 years because it is good value for money with a good pub on site that does great traditional pub food. Be aware that the dining is very popular with the locals so best to book a table.
The CL is on very high ground hence the great views but it can be breezy at times. The owner is carrying out work to install electric hookups and a new water supply and when this is completed it will probably be even busier.
Dogs are not allowed in the pub. There are no handy verges outside but if you turn left out of the entrance and walk 300 metres down the hill there is a pleasant exercise area where you can let your dog off on the left.
There is a Co-Op and large Lidll supermarket about 5 mins drive away,
