Stayed for 2 weeks 09/07-23/07.....
Birch Trees is a fabulous site, plentiful space, freedom to pitch up just how you decide and has a lovely countryside feel to it despite being in a busy county. Nature is key here and Mr & Mrs Upton are very keen to keep it that way, we loved watching the birds and bunnies!
There is an information shed with a ton of info relating to places to visit and amenities locally. We've made the most of our National Trust membership as there is an abundance of houses and gardens within a reasonably short drive.....our favourite 2 being Standen House and Petworth.
Day trip to Brighton with the open top City Sightseeing Bus tour is a good way to get around, see the different parts and learn some of it's history. West Wittering beach was beautiful but VERY popular...probably best to avoid a weekend and be prepared to pay £8.50 to park on a rough field as it is sooo busy.
We had a wonderful holiday and will definitely return in the future to do more and will be staying at Birch Trees CL......
Beautiful Site
This is a wonderful site which has been lovingly maintained. Set in beautifully landscaped ground, lawned with mature trees and shrubs and a wild flower area, it is very spacious so plenty of room around your caravan. There is also a well stocked information room. We would definately return here in the future.

It did the business for us
We were looking for a site in order to do some local touring in the area and Birch Trees Farm was an ideal location. It is a quiet site with immaculate grounds. We stayed in our motorhome on one of the hard-standing pitches which had plenty of space and a convenient electric hook-up. Checking in was easy and the facilities were all that we required - fresh water, local tourist information, rubbish facilities and an easy to use and accessible chemical toilet point. We were visiting local gardens (High Beeches Woodland and Water Garden and Sussex Prairie Garden), as well as the Ditchling Arts+Crafts Museum.
I highly recommend this CL.

Best site yet
Thank you Mrs Upton for the welcome on a rival in our MOTORHOME.
AFTER reading an earlier review we were not sure of what space we will be given, but need not of been concerned as we had a really nice spot over looking the well kept field of flowers and wild life, this site was a real pleasure to stay at, we will certainly be staying again.

Such a Shame
We stayed B/H May weekend for 4 nights in our Motorhome. Was welcomed by the owner and was asked to pitch up on which was their winter pitch placed behind the field. We asked why couldn't we go on the empty hard standing pitch on the field with lovely views . The owner said that she wanted to keep that free in case a "caravan" came in. It was such a shame as we thought the site was lovely and had a great few days there but felt that being a Motorhome we weren't given the same treatment as a caravan, and could of enjoyed the views on the field especially as the hard standing pitch was empty ALL week end.

A Truly Great CL!
We stayed here over the Christmas and New Year period (16/17) and really enjoyed the site. Mrs Upton is very welcoming and it is clear that she takes great pride in her CL and to all of the little details that make using the site enjoyable and easier. There is a hook for every gate, manhole cover and water outlet....simple but important touches!
The walks from the site are fantastic, straight out of the site, down the lane and you are in open-fields with great views across the South Downs and easy access into Cuckfield.
Being winter we were on the hardstanding but with a nice view over the main grassed area of the CL which must be a joy from the spring onwards - clealry very well kept, beautifully planted and with lots of space. We will definitely be back to enjoy this CL in the different seasons.
Thank you Mrs Upton for making our stay so enjoyable!

Just lovely
Perfect CL for peace, quiet and a bit of space for your outfit. Acres of room to park up, very welcoming family, no hassle. Just stretch out and chill. Used it for attending a wedding nearby. Would use again if I was in the area. Very well kept and ecologically tuned in. Try it.
Great and friendly welcome
What a delightful CL as always. No wonder Anne & Robin have won so many awards over the years, and rightly so. It has to be one of our very favourites. The wild flower bed, attracting butterflies and birds is well worth seeing alone. It is immaculate throughout. Lovely private positions on the field. It is peaceful and a true delight. We have just come back from 8 nights there. Wish we could have
stayed for more!! Thank you Anne & Robin for another first class stay. Will be back soon.Jan & John Buchanan. Selsey West Suxxex.

A very special place
We love this site for the peace and quiet even though we only live close by. Mrs Upton is a magnificent CL owner. She is super welcoming and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. We enjoy the fact that rules are rules, but not in an obtrusive or over bearing way. We enjoy Club Sites too for this very reason. Some people struggle with being "told what to do", how to pitch etc but we find this ADDS to the quality of a site rather than detracts from it. I guess we all want different things. If you enjoy peace and quiet, large pitches (and a choice of them), together with great walking on your door step, this CL could well be for you. Keep up your high and exacting standards Mrs Upton!!!! Rob and Anne
