Stayed there in May, no welcome just took the money. We went there as they advertised the toilet and what a filthy one it was, Spiders cobwebs and leaves everywhere. The washbasin had the filthiest tablet of soap and hadn't been cleaned in months. Bird droppings all over. The toilet had been cleaned by a fellow club member in order to make it useable, many thanks to him. There was also a very old book of bus times which I wonder if they thought we would use as paper. It was stiff with dirt. I am used to outside toilets and so am not over critical, it had t0 be seen to be believed.
Turned up after confirming a space earlier only to be told that there was now no space for us other than the concrete where we had to pay extra to stay, and we could only stay for one night anyway. Husband took our booking and hadn't informed his wife so clearly no communication between them which left us driving around and ringing around from 7pm (when we turned up there) until 9pm when we eventually found a lovely place and a very friendly welcome. Totally different from Benn Park where the welcome was lacking and hospitality was non -existant even though I had rang and confirmed a possible 2 day stay only half hr before we arrived. Our whole evening was ruined (until we found the new pitch) and by the time we got settled, we were desperately in need of a coffee and our tea (even though we never ate until 10pm! Ben Park is nice if you can be guaranteed a pitch when its promised, however the arrival was not exactly welcoming. We had an apology off the husband however comment was that as we were not staying, that got the husband out of a pickle and he seemed happy with that.
