Peaceful site

Lovely well kept and thoroughly peaceful site. Pitches are flat and well spread out. Nice to sit and chill in the afternoon sun and watch the Moorhens scurrying around the pond. Louise was a very helpful host, providing us with a map of local walks and phoning the local café for us to check opening times. Bungay is the nearest town (approx. 5 miles away) and can be reached by walking along a mixture of very quiet lanes and footpaths. There are numerous cafes to choose from before making the return journey (or as Louise advised it is also possible to catch the "Norwich bus" back to Woodton which is only half a mile or so from the site).

Shhhhh!

I have entitled this 'Shhhhh' as I really do not want anyone to discover this gem of site so that it will always have vacancies for when we want to return! We live just 8 miles away from this CL and like to have a place to go for a few days whilst still being able to attend other commitments unlike a complete holiday. This place is exquisite. It is spacious and SO peaceful with a cacophony of bird song. It is beautifully arranged around the natural ponds. It has miles of walks on the doorstep and a lot of historical interest in the surrounding countryside. Also great for any Geocachers amongst you! We plan to return for another short break with friends who also live just 8 miles away as this is the perfect retreat to spend with caravanning chums. Please do ignore my glowing reports and then I know that we can get back on again - oh my! How selfish I am !!!!!!!! Just one practical note - ignore the first CL sign and go to the double gates at the second CL sign for a lovely wide entrance and exit. Thank you Louise, you're a lovely host. :-)

The Flintstones

Best route is to keep to main roads as long as possible as this lovely site could be found via narrow lanes if sat nav is followed.... not a problem without a van but maybe one with it! Don't expect to catch fish in the pond but do expect to watch the moorhens bumble around the site and pond whilst the squirrel gathers and hides his nuts and the lady pheasants watch from atop the farm gate! Pitches well spaced out with water and electrics and in better weather would have been perfect. The new entrance and exit is wide but after torrential rain does pose a problem for leaving the site as the gateway does become wet and slubby. Overall a really nice site, Louise is lovely, worth a visit for that getaway from it all weekend but there is some traffic noise from the adjacent lane.

Lovely peaceful site.

Wonderful site, well kept grass and beautiful trees surround the site. Big field to walk the dog. Walking distance to local shop and easy car trip into Bungay and Beccles. Would definitely return.

Scenic, spacious and peaceful little gem

A most spacious well drained grass pitch in a peaceful setting overlooking the farm's fields. Each pitch had its own water and electric hook up. There was even a pond where people could fish with a family of resident moorhens which our cat enjoyed watching from the caravan window every morning. Due to the size of the site, scattered with trees, it felt like we had the field all to ourselves. Louise lent us some maps and gave good advice about local walks. She was helpful and available if needed, sometimes leaving courgettes and plums; free or for a small cost, but was easygoing and not too 'in your face' :) Lots to do in the area. Bungay is the nearest little town with fuel and shops; we had a good walk around that area and found a hill (Bath Hill), of which there aren't many in the area! We went on trips to Horsey Windpump and a walk along the coast revealed a huge colony of seals basking in the sunshine on the beach... it was amazing. We went on a tour at Flint vinyard which was interesting and only a 10 minute drive away. We also went to Dunwich Heath and beach and other areas which were a little further afield. Thanks for a lovely week in the Suffolk/Norfolk countryside... we will be back.

A relaxing break

This is a little gem of a sight , nicely spaced out with short cut grass and a pond which you can fish if you wish. Next to the pitches was a large field which our dog loved to run in. Lots of walks around the surrounding area in the next village which is a 15 minute walk is a village store for the essentials a a pub . We will definitely visit again and make use of buses into Norwich or Beccles. Louise was very friendly and made us very welcome.

Quiet,peaceful and relaxing stay

We have just got back from a lovely 4 night stay at Bedingham Hall Farm. Pre-arrival contact from Louise was excellent and informative, with good approach directions and even an allocated pitch. Louise also provided a photocopied map of the surrounding footpaths so that we could join up with a walk around Earsham and Bungay, which we did one day, totalling 7.5 miles. We treated ourselves to a very nice pint in the Fleece in the middle of Bungay before catching the bus back to Woodton, opposite the Kings Head (which wasn't open at the times we were nearby, so one good reason to return next year!), which is 10 minutes walk from the site. There were major road re-surfacing works going on just before Norwich, which affected the local bus timetables significantly and meant that we were unable to do day trips to Norwich or Beccles (another reason for a return next year). The site is beautifully kept, with short grass and level pitches, and electric and water. There were magnificent sunsets over the fields from the farm drive, so if you are looking for a great value CL and peace and quiet,( and a tame Moorhen family), this is for you. Thanks Louise and Martin, we'll see you again next year. Chris & Carolyn

Ken and Rosemary

We have visited this site on a number of occasions and have always had a great holiday. Changes have been made due to Covid-19 and every pitch is supplied with private water and electricity. As vulnerable people we felt very safe as the pitches are well spaced. The site has views across fields and is peaceful and tranquil, ideal for a relaxing holiday. This is our favourite site and we look forward to our next visit.

Peaceful Weekend

Just had three nights at the gloriously peaceful Bedingham Hall Farm, Hook Up and water directly behind motorhome No noise except the Pheasants, birds and the sheep in the next-door field. Grass cut like a pitch and putt at £12 a night this must be the bargain of the year. Although we did not travel a great distance this was truly a relaxing three nights. If you want loud noise and nightlife don't go here if you want peace and quiet this is the site for you. On our shortlist for an Xmas stay.
