Clean and tidy site

Stunning views. Peaceful well maintained site with one combined toilet and shower. We spent a couple of days exploring the local area. Although peaceful the site has easy access to local routes north and south. Owner very friendly. Access straightforward if you follow the instructions provided.

A perfect CL

We stayed on this site a couple of years ago when in transit to Arran, but we returned this year to explore a part of Scotland that we had not visited much. This CL was a perfect base for exploring the whole area from Glasgow down to the Mull of Galloway, the wonderful coast and inland hills. The site is owned and run by a very friendly couple, who were very helpful. For us, this CL is just perfect, large hardstanding pitches with power, giving us the ability to park across the pitch for the view from side windows. The rubbish bins are will marked for recycling, the water supply has a great pressure and is well located. Toilet disposal is good too. For us a big plus was the motorhome grey water disposal grid, which made dumping it very east indeed. The whole site is really well maintained. Although we use our own facilities, there is a newish cabin with shower and toilet, which appeared to be immaculately maintained. In our opinion this is one of the best CLs we have ever visited and would recommend it for anyone both as a stopover and a base for an exploring holiday. Thanks again to the wonderful hosts.

So Enjoyable

Stayed for one night on one of the few dry and sunny days of the year so far. What an excellent find. The service facilities are immaculate (water, grey, black and rubbish disposal) and the toilet/ shower block clean. Got a warm welcome on arrival and enjoyed a great peaceful stay in a lovely location. If you're looking for a stopover in this area, make this your choice. Terrific.

Short stopover on route to Skye

Only stopped for one night on our way to Skye. Pleasantly surprised at the tidy ness, layout, peace and quiet of the site. There is a toilet and shower if you don’t have your own facilities, they are clean and do a job. The site is lovely, the pitches are large and well maintained, very quiet and within walking distance of the town of Maybole. We marked it 3 on access to places of interest as we weren’t there long enough to to find out. Learnt that there are something called Indian Running ducks, who knew? They, along with the chickens, sheep and cows made this a really homely site. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Very lovely site

We spent a week here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Pitches are a good size and the 4 hard standing spaces are very level. The shower and WC room is very good and clean. The site is close to the beaches - we had lovely walks on Turnberry, Croy, Troon and Barassie, all dog friendly and plenty of space. We also had a wonderful walk in the Galloway Forest Park, from Stinchar Bridge - so beautiful and very quiet. We enjoyed a good meal at The Greenside in Maybole - very nice pizzas and great service. The Fox and Willow in Alloway was also delightful with great food and a very nice welcome. Would definitely recommend this site.

perfect

We chose this site as a stop over on our way to the highlands and it did not disappoint. Perfectly level pitches, clean toilet and shower and an enclosed wild play area for children. No excuse for CL pitches to be rough when you see how well kept this place is. Would i return? Absolutely

Lovely site

Lovely, well kept site with fabulous views. We've been here for a week and received a very warm welcome on arrival. There are both hard standing and grass pitches to choose from with plenty of room to spread out. The toilet/shower room has always been clean and we really can't recommend this site enough.
