A hidden gem
We stayed at Ashieburn House CL for 3 nights From 12th Aug but could easily have stayed longer if the rain had stopped. As stated in other comments the entrance is tight as the road is narrow where you turn in and there are two stone gateposts to negotiate. However we entered and exited with our 22ft Swift with no problem. Sadly the weather was very wet whilst on our three week trip so the, slightly sloping, grass pitches were wet and care had to be taken setting up so as not to tear up the grass.
The site is immaculate and well cared for. A very clean toilet is available on this CL. The water and waste points are nice and clean too.
We were very lucky to see an otter on our first day, two Kingfishers on our second and to round off our third day an Osprey flew by above the river.
So many places to visit from this CL. We loved it and would certainly return in drier weather.
Thanks must be said to the owners and gardeners for making this site such a hidden gem. One of the best. 5*.
