Did Not Enjoy

The warden tends to be very abrupt & un caring, even when I went to pay the reception was aggressive. Field very long grass, lots of ditches & holes also. Nothing marked out so don't know how fire regulations can be met. The bins were overflowing so re-cycling was nigh on impossible. The sceptic tank was very overgrown with bushes so access was poor & you were in danger of getting eye injuries. The worst we suffered was that no sign or farm name was posted on access road, this error led us to a dead end after about another 500 metres, If it wasn't for a group of cyclists we would have never managed to turn our caravan round so beware you wont get a second chance unless you have motor movers fitted. This issue was raised with the warden who sort of skirted round it saying it must have been vandalised again & her son was putting things right. Bit too late for us, & to be fair a sign did appear later that day. View is good from field but we will not go again, @ £11 a night it definitely isn't worth it Sorry warden but you & your site didn't cut the Mustard.

Great views of Rutland Water

The view from our caravan on this site was lovely. Very quiet. Ideal for walking or cycling from the site. The grass was long when we went, but this was perhaps because it had been so wet it was left long to prevent it getting really muddy. Rutland is a lovely area, we will return.
