A charming site

This site has superb views over the River Exe estuary. It’s basic but the views make up for some of the “finer” points on modernity. Mr and Mrs Bloomfield are very friendly and welcoming and both came to see us at different times. There’s only one thing about this site and specifically I’m addressing people who may be new to caravanning or motorhoming. If you visit many parts of Devon, you’ll just have to accept that very narrow lanes are part of the package and passing places can be few and far between. When you book your pitch, Mrs Bloomfield will send you a map. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE YOUR SATNAV! The map you’ll receive will tell you how to find the site but if you’re new to towing and want to build your confidence, give this site a miss. The last mile or so to the site from the A379 is along a very narrow set of roads that are barely a caravan width. There are one or two steep bits and you’ll need a low gear and plenty of available “grunt” under the drivers right foot. IMHO, this is not the site for someone who is new to towing or needs to build their confidence. But if you’re a seasoned caravanner or Motorhomer, go for it! The site is spacious, the views are changing all the time and you’ll have a great time.
