LPG Gas filling stations

In the light of a recent thread about the apparent closure of LPG pumps at filling stations I came upon the idea that we could start a list whist filling my new safe filll cylinder (other makes available).that it would not be a bad idea for those of us who have found filling stations that are still selling LPG to post them on here.

So here is my contribution to start the ball rolling.

The winning post, A38 Northbound, Halcon Hill, Devon EX6 7XS.

Paid 59.9p per litre

Hope this will become useful. Maybe a moderator might light to put a sticky thing on this as well.

So great to see folk being able to fill at Morrison’s. Well deserved as Morrison’s were ‘brave’ enough to break the mould and become the first Supermarket in the U.K. to allow the refilling of Safefill Cylinders. I was surprised to read that difficulty is still being encountered but was equally pleased to read it was sorted very quickly.

May be of little use DD but it has provided me with a tad more confidence having struck unlucky at two stations which appeared on the apps as current but in reality were no longer traded in LPG. I do wish that the said apps could keep up to speed, their data  in some cases was a year or more out of date.frown

I did DD and apparently so did others months previously but I can't vouch for them! In fact sadly they are still showing as providers!frown

I would have thought that those sites on MyLPG showing recent 'verified' (time, date, price) visits could be relied on?

TBH, i guess, given a choice, these would be the ones most would head for?

I’ve checked any on the list on the IW and though they do do LPG neither will allow us to refill safefill cylinders. At one we were told they were only alto fill cars.  There is different VAT on LPG for cars to cylinders.  Not much but a difference.

Does the refusal to fill Safefill include Morrisons, AS, as I understood they were onboard with the scheme?

I fill my Safefill openly and without issue at my local Morrison’s

Exactly. That’s why I was asking about the IoW Morrisons.
