We have tried booking with Haven using this offer last Bank Holiday, rang them up give them all or membership details only to be told no pitches available so went to Haven website put same dates and duration and had space available so made booking without discount, appears to be when it suits them.

Why does the CC advertise these offers, as Haven are a direct competitor. The offers are extremely good off peak. We had a full European pitch at  Pwllheli for £9-90per night in May. Better than Cls locally and again depriving them of income. That was the The best facility site we have used in years. The offers are particularly good when club sites are virtually empty. Why does the CC advertise this potential loss of income to itself. Almost suicidal. Once you have tried the alternatives there is a tendancy to keep on trying. Is this the same Dept advertsing this that wasted our monies on a Garden at the RHS show, sponsored some Git to go to the South Poll but never even started the trip. Makes you wonder how next to waste our monies.By the way these offers are available to everyone through the Haven web site.

I would imagine the bit of their terms and conditions that covers it is "subject to availability". As with many of these type of offers from other suppliers, there are only so many allocated to the specific organisation involved, in this case the CC. When these are gone you can still buy but at the full price.

once ypu have taken two breaks at any Haven sites, you get a loyalty card (Freedom Trail) whichngets you 10% discount rather than the 7.5% CC one.

Just ahd a look for October and they opffer 49% discount anyway 2 nights for £20.36 so I suggest these offers are not exactly what they seem and are maybe offered to anyone.

All these club offers are generally available to the public. In some cases better offers are available. Its another example of the club retaining non essential jobs to keep the army of "directors" at £90/100K each in an empire.Instead of looking at basics and trimming costs they expect "members" to just keep coughing up  well above inflation prices year in year out.

For goodness sake why can't people see this for what it is. A bringing to the attention of straightforward offer that might help some Club members. I doubt that Haven are on the radar of many members so bringing it to peoples attention here could be doing them a favour in getting a good value pitch, perhaps somewhere there is not a Club site. I do wish people with axes to grind against the Club went through the proper channels rather than hi-jacking a thread which is meant to be helpful to members.

Some people are very quick to point out negatives in anything David,  But as you say it was obviously intended to make people aware of the possible benificial offers that they may other wise have missed So Like you i Do not understand the negatice comments

Can you see Tesco advertising the offers at Sainsburys. Thats what its like.Too many chiefs at Ho with nothing todo. Get real and start pruning. Following these offers we have used them and lost hundreds of pounds income to the club.We cant be alone.
