Hello, newbies to camping here.

Can anyone point us in the right direction for finding 'club site rules'? What are they? Is it compulsory to have a fire bucket for example?

We are heading to a CC site end of this month and after reading some posts I feel like I may upset people on site if i dont do it right ha!!Happy

I have 3 children so I will have to keep them in check aswell.

thanks in advance

There  should  be  few  terrors  for  you  young  whippersnappers  Wink.  The  major  point  is  pitching  to  the  peg  and  the  site  warden  will  help  you  get  that  right  when  you  book  in  !  5  MPH  speed  limit  is  self  explanatory  to  someboddy  with  3  youngsters.

Just  remember  to  take  your  sense  of  humour  with  you.  Just  one  point,  are  you  taking  an  awning  ??  If  so  we  will  come  &  watch,  Innocent  They  are  not  called   "Divorce  in  a  Bag"  for  nothing  !!

Many thanks to you both. 5mph sounds good to me and will give us peace of mind with the little ones around.

I will have a look at the handbook before we set off.

Regarding the awning, yes we do have one! haha divorce in a bag indeed, we have had a trial run putting it up and were very glad we opted for the kampa air pro so no fiddly poles involved- thank god!!Tongue OutI would be lying if I said it didnt spark a couple of rows though.

Sense of humour is well and truly packed, although I will probably have to remind my husband of that several times on our first trip Happy

Welcome Danwestgate.  By the way, I don't have a fire bucket, but for peace of mind we carry a small fire extinguisher - nothing in the club rules about this as far as I'm aware.

Dw, as JVB says, the keyboard warriors on here are very few and far between in real life, there may be a few curtain twitchers but do as we do and give them a cheery wave. Don't let the moaners on here put you off your enjoyment of 'vanning. You will be offered a lot more help than hinderance, don't be afraid to ask, you won't be shunned or laughed at.........Enjoy......Cool

Hello DWG, and welcome. If you click on UKHolidays on the website home page, it will bring up a list of facts on the left hand side of page. Club Site Rules are one of the links. You can also take a look at the specific site leaflet for each site on the Club Sites page. These only tend to vary a little bit, but are very useful. Should you have any problems, or something you are not sure about, Wardens are very helpful, as are most other visitors. Enjoy yourselves!Happy

As said by others sites are usually really friendly.  Fire buckets are rarely seen now but we have two fire extinguishers - one at the back near the bed and one near the door, plus a fire blanket.

Most of the rules are commonsense - pick up after dogs, dont play ball games, drive at less than 5mph on site etc
