Some people have said they would like better drained grass pitches.  How does that stack up with dumping your unwanted water on them?

I would think quite well. If the dainage on a grass pitch is unable to deal with 10L maximum of (cold) water heater water, then it is not fit for purpose. Or at the very least they should have temporarily been removed from service.

"I was talking about emptying the boiler water on the pitch (not the aquaroll, about 10L) and the difficulty of aligning the drain tube (unknown location somewhere under the van) then either putting the steadies down or getting into the van while hitched up, getting back into the caravan to open the valve, take the steadies down and then drive off

But your point is taken"

Corners, the location of your drain tube is only unknown because you havent looked where it is....all MH are required to do this as, by not doing so, will inevitibly result in sparaying their waste everywhere but in the right place....

...and surely you dont need to wind steadies down to step into the van to open a valve?

so, really, no different to the process that we (MHers) are 'required' to carry out?Undecided

its easy once you (are prepared to) get the hang of it....Happy

I have not been following this topic but the difficulty I have with anyone dumping water onto a pitch is that it is obviously clean water if a caravanner is emptying an aquaroll but any other source of dumping may not be so and could be seen as offensive. In any case how much effort is actually required to dump fresh water from an acquaroll at a disposal point after all you fetched it in the first place!

Hope I am not repeating what has been said before.

Because it drains well. (clean water only of course.)Happy

"Can I empty clean water onto the pitch".

Hardstanding, yes. Grass, no. Our water heater always gets drained onto a hardstanding pitch before we leave, along with the remains of the aqua roll contents.

Not all of us have readily identifiable potable or grey water containers, so folk will not always be aware of the nature of that being dumped on site/pitches! Best I suppose is just to do the correct thing, set the example for the uneducated or new members and take it just those few extra yards to the proper and intended service point drain!

spot on, Micky.

...its not really difficult to take it back from whence it came (and where its supposed to go).....anything else (notwithstanding that its antisocial etc) is just plain laziness.

if you have to go there to empty your wastemaster, why not do the whole job properly?

perhaps we could start leaving a few bags of rubbish on the pitch when we leave......after all, its only a bit of litter....Undecided

Chances are that most people empty their cassette last ,just befor they leave ,so why not take the aquarolls at the same time , nobody can then accuse you of leaving water of any type on the pitch

What surprises me is the amount of folk who when leaving site pull up right outside toilets/ chem point with caravan in tow or MH just to empty cassette and go for last pee. Any bets that they are often the ones who empty water on pitches too?
