We don't have Sky so that is not an issue for us but one reason for having a TV with built in Freesat FTA satellite receiver is that it is a neat solution as you have no other gubbins to contend with. Unlike the situation when we had a separate receiver.

i mention Sky as the 'satellite' situation can be confusing for some, who sometimes refer to sat tv as 'Sky' and might expect to receive 'sky' channels with a tv set with inbuilt tuners.

whether some sets will become available with a proper 'sky' tuner some day, i dont know....

I agree with David about the Samsung 22" smart tv except the stand is a strange design which did not allow me to balance the TV on top of a Humax pvr. Managed to replace it with a monitor stand that solved the problem.

We bought a Finlux TV/DVD from either ebay or amazon.  It works on either 240v or 12v and has served us well for 18months.  Sound and Picture are both acceptable and price was much better than caravan specific stores.  I think we paid about £120 but it my be slightly smaller than 22 inch I cannot remember.

We have a Cello tv built in freeview/freesat/Irish freeview/DVD its 12/240v comes in various sizes it also has a USB port.

We are currently in Salamanca Spain and getting some British channels on freesat with an 85cm dish, no BBC/ITV  of course.

Pretty much the same TV as Avtex but cheaperWink

I've had both, the Cello is a very poor second to the Avtex in sound and picture quality. The old saying you get what you pay for is invariably true.

..Never had an Avtex, but read lots of reviews and looked at them at the shows, we have no complaints with the cello.
