We've only gone and done it. After several years of looking (3 NEC shows), researching, thinking and talking about it we pickup our caravan on the 15th. Steep learning curve ahead which starts the weekend after with our first (very local) trip.

A warm welcome from me too. I can understand your excitement as it doesn't diminish with time, there's always somewhere new to explore. I hope your maiden trip goes well and sets you up nicely for Anglesey.

Hi Simmo,

We`re still waiting for our new van to appear!!

Hope you a trouble free 1st outing, and wish you all the best in the future.

What van did you buy??

Hi G

It's a Sprite Major 4SB, the Siena edition from Grantham Caravans. Got a few extra's thrown in as I bought at last years NEC show. They're even paying for the first 2 nights away.

10 days and counting.

Got everything crossed.

Looking forward to Anglesey, been several times before but always in a tent. Can't wait to actually be warm and dry, not too mention no more trudging across a field at 3am to answer the call of nature.

Hi G

The EB was our other option, spent several hours hoping between the two at the last NEC show must have walked miles even though they were next to each other, lol. Came down to that elusive and very personal quality of "feel" in the end.

Don't think I've been this excited since Christmas as a kid and that was quite a while ago.

I know what you mean, the EB just felt right for us to.

They maybe an "entry level caravan" (a phrase that my wife, Jules hates!!)

But I think its a hell of a lot of van for the money.

We are newbies to caravanning too, we recently sold our motorhome & loved that, now really excited & looking forward to our first trip out staying in our very petite eriba. We have both taken a manoevering course to give us a bit more confidence with reversing/pitching up. Can't wait to get out and about-especially as spring has just arrived.!

Booked my course the week after I order the caravan. Just so happens it's this weekend, 3 days before I pick it up. Least I wont have too much time to forget things.
