Suggestion for the forum manager.

Now that there are many more Moderators on board to assist and advise members, It would greatly help those moderators find requests for help and advice if a new section was created precisely for that purpose.

It could be titled "Ask The Club"  where any requests for advice could be posted by members and easily picked up by the relevant Moderator.

Hope this suggestion is useful.

Write your comments here...I agree. The OP was a genuine suggestion which could have been beneficial to the Forum.  The thread became confused when one word in the op was challenged.

I'm sure it has all been a lesson to all of us, that everybody has the right to their honest opinion and explanation as to how their opinion was formed.  thankfully now there will be no more confusion. .

Smile

Hi everyone,

As it stands we currently have some volunteer Champions who can moderate and some that don’t. This is because the original role of the Champion was to offer help and guidance. It wasn’t until the community began to grow and become so active that we realised that we would also need support with moderation and some of our Champions were approached and were happy to help and assist with this. Without their help and support we would be unable to have a community so we are very grateful for the time and hard work they dedicate to Club Together. Moving forward it may well be we only have external Champions that can moderate and this is something we will review in the future. In the meantime the name Champion is because they offer help and guidance to the community and I am sure I am not alone in appreciating their hard work and dedication and grateful for not only the moderation they assist with, but also the help and guidance they offer others on the community.

With regards to staff champions, Club staff are all indicated by the staff badge so you will be able to clearly see they are staff and able to offer support from The Club. They all have profile information which indicates how they can help and assist.

As mentioned in the ‘introducing our champions’ discussion, I have put together a list of all our champions to summarise their roles and responsibilities, but am awaiting all our current champions to have the opportunity to post first before I publish this and I will then close the discussion with this information.

As to the suggestion in the OP, many thanks for posting your idea and we appreciate feedback. We have asked our staff Champions to review and monitor each area of the community which is relevant to their role in order to answer members questions, however if you spot a discussion which you feel would benefit from a Club response please report this to us. Also, please note, you can get in touch with The Club directly by visiting the Contact Us page. We also ask that any complaints are made directly to The Club rather than posting on the community.

We will look to reintroduce an improved area for Ask the Experts in the future if members feel this would be helpful and of interest.

I hope this helps explain and please feel free to re-read the Community Guidelines and FAQs for further clarification. I will now close this discussion as the suggestion has been noted and the conversation has gone off topic. Many thanks.
